I think it is a little overrated too, but I still think it is great.

I had no idea they were making a second part to it. When will it be on DVD?

shite, if you read some of the reviews it gets on this board, then I don't see how you can come to the conclusion that it's anything but overrated.

I liked the series, but it never lived up to my expectations and this coming from someone who absolutely loves WWII everything. I liked Saving Private Ryan and other films more.

I too am looking forward to the Pacific series greatly in the anticipation that it will draw me in more than BoB.

You are the first few people I have ever heard say they didn't like it.

I think that a lot more people don't like it, but are afraid to admit not liking it for various (some obvious, others not too obvious) reasons.

This has to be my first post but i haffta'. BOB with the exception of Rome was and always will be my favorite show on hbo. I have watched it (the whole season) at least 3 times by myself and 2 with my sons. I have to say and agree with one of the other posters that besides great story and acting. It also teaches in it's own way that that was a special generation and if not for their tough upbringing(the great depression) then they become older teens to step into a world war. I could ramble on forever and hope the pacific theater show will be just as good but one last thing. If not for shows like Band of Brothers who should be kids heros. Bet they (teens0 wouldnt know Richard Winters name if they heard it but if a 7 foot monster can dunk a ball then yey. lol. ok, thanks for y'alls time. gotta' start talkin' footaball on here.

I'm sure I'll catch some shite and be labeled Un-American for this, but I found Band of Brothers to be overrated. I bought the series from Amazon for $20, but I just can't get into it. I'm 2/3rds of the way through it and just don't feel like finishing it. Do the last two discs make up for it?

Todays younger generation lives under the umbrella of freedom that these guys died to protect. I don't think they understand it.
