If you've never seen Wings of Hope, you must. It insppired my brother to do a genius Werner Herzog impression. That dude is either insane or a genius. Maybe both.

He's both. I haven't seen Wings of Hope (there is still a lot of Herzog movies I haven't seen) but I have seen the documentaries My Best Fiend and Burden of Dreams which show just how crazy/brilliant he is and his professional relationship with Klaus Kinski is a compelling story within itself

I loved it. Laughed my arse off. One of the rare films in which Cage's over-the-top acting really worked.
