Yeah, but you would still need antagonists as powerful or more powerful than the Avatar to be a real threat. Sure spirits can provide this as well as bloodbenders, but not much else I can think of.

Sweet. I'm feeling more and more confident that they'll keep the momentum of book 1 going. I think books three and four could really excel since it seems like they'll have plenty of time to plan for them.

Seems to be pretty much what everyone was predicting and it's the logical next subject for the series to tackle.

While I have been interested in this, I hope we don't get some midiclorian answer, although it could be as simple as a spirit did it.

Makes sense since most cops are douchebags and Mako is one too.
And those spirits look great and pretty terrifying really. Definitely look like some of Miyazaki's darkest creations. I'm guessing a previous Avatar sealed them and Korra accidentally releases them like Katara did Aang.
Also really looking forward to entering the Spirit World. It was definitely the aspect of the previous series that was by far the least developed and unexplored.

Zuko looks epic, hope he's going to be around in the next seasons. I'm still unsure how exactly they're going to make things tense with Korra being a full avatar, but if there's any way to do it, spirits is the way to go.
