We've only been with these people for 12 episodes or less. We spent 60 episodes with the original gang. They did some character's very well, some not, but they've still got time to correct their mistake.

Yep, exactly.

The problem with this is that the animation, fights, and music wouldn't be nearly as good. They've added more frames and increased the production value of each episode. If it went to 20 episodes, the animation and music would be on par with how they were in the original series. Plus I'm not sure where there was to much opportunity for filler, especially in the later half of the season.

The animation and the rest of the productions quality is why I'd put this season above most of the first series, but having good animation doesn't overcome having great characters and plot movement. Lin, Korra, Tenzin, Tarlok, and Amon were the only characters I really consider to be well developed at all, but as above, they still have plenty of time to fix that.

Agreed, but for 12 episodes, and 30 minute episodes at that, that's pretty damn good for like 95% of series.

I do have one major problem with the original series: the villain is incredibly 2 dimensional. Despite Amon being more threatening than Ozai, I was afraid that they were going to make him two dimensional as well, but they did well in developing him in the final two episodes. The original series needed an Iroh/Ozai flashback like this series had between Tarlok and Amon.

EDIT: Does anyone else think that Korra may still only be able to bend air by herself? Hear me out: Aang didn't heal Korra, merely assisted her into getting into the Avatar State. The Avatar State allows you to use all the power from all your past lives, so therefore in the Avatar State Korra should still be able to bend her first three elements, but not outside of it. Thus it becomes more of a risk when she has to bend the other 3. So Korra can still Spirit and Airbend without the Avatar State,

It looked to me like Aang did heal Korra when he touched her on the forehead. This is also how she learned to heal others.

Aang may have just taught her spiritbending.

I especially got distracted when Zuko's grandson hit that bomb from above him. That would without question kill the person in the plane. No possible survival.

Reminded me of the GI Joe cartoons, every time they would shoot down a Cobra jet, there would be a parachute.

fixed the typo

I mean, when you have a murder/suicide and then your main character contemplating suicide in the same episode, what's the point in the parachutes? You've already gone into way more fricked up territory than it would be if he just killed the guy, why not just pay no attention to them? It's way more distracting to see them parachute out of the plane than none at all.

Highly, highly doubt it. It was fairly final, and the tone of the scene from the creators indicates it. They're dead.

I agree, Amon crying because his brother joined him and finally being happy seemed very final to me.

Reminded me of the end Of Mice and Men, when George is talking to Lennie about the rabbit farm to give him a last happy memory.

For next season, there are still a lot of problems between non benders and benders. Amon could not have gained power without non benders already being angry with what was going on.

They, Korra and friends, will have to work and repairing the damage between the two groups.

Definitely. They definitely made Amon and Tarlok strong characters in the end. Despite Amon's defeat, that moment was probably the happiest he's been since before he discovered his bending.

Yeah, they have to completely restructure the government to make sure something like this doesn't happen again. A good strategy would be to at least double the size of the Council. Have it be composed of half benders and half non-benders from each nation. That would go a long way.

Yea, at the very least, the council will have to include non benders. Also, it would be a good idea to have en election for a non bender adviser whom will report directly to Korra.

Is it bad that I'd want this guy to join the Team next season?

I thought he was pretty funny and I'd rather him be on Team Avatar than Mako.

The main thing with that is even though Ozai was the final villain of the series, he really wasn't the primary villain they faced for 95% of the series. It was either Zuko, Azula, or Long Feng for most of the series, and they were all very well done and complex villains.

My dvr quit recording at the end. Last thing I saw was Korra givng Lin Bei Fong her bending back. Anything happen after that worth seeing?

Also, I am pretty bummed if its gonna be two more years until the next season comes out. Is that true?

Think I am gonna go back and re watch TLA on netflix.

I'm pretty sure Amon killed him when he saw him bloodbending.

It takes two years a season. No way it will be 6 months. If I had to take a guess, it will be in Fall 2013.

Finally caught up yesterday. Don't have anything to say that's probably not already said other than I really enjoyed watching.

So where does the show go from here? I wasn't expecting most things to get wrapped up. Is Book 2 titled Spirit? Seems like I read that somewhere.

Anyone know where I can watch the final episode online? Nick.com stops right after amon takes Korras bending for some reason.
