holy shite i never caught that call signal. frick.

the theory on Sara and Slade and that showdown is a pretty damn good one. I could definitely see the show going that route now that they seem to be putting Laurel on her path to redemption already.

The biggest issue I have for this season is that Malcolm Merlyn, the huge bad guy from season 1 that fricked up a lot of stuff, pops in for 5 minutes with some serious threat then disappears. What a bad reveal just to move the Thea plotline. But other than that the season has been great.

Going to be very interesting to see how the Suicide Squad will figure into this Slade and Brother Blood business.

The final scene with Slade was incredibly badass. It was one of those scenes where you get giddy then realize it's the episode and get pissed

I loved the showdown between Laurel and Ollie. Someone needed to put that mewling little count in her place and Ollie did so with a big, fat ol' exclamation point. I hope history repeats itself and Slade takes Laurel out, that's how much I have grown to despise her character.

In that vein, I can see them building Sara up just to have Slade kill her off, then Laurel take her place as Ollie reveals he and Sara's secrets. Nifty montages aside, making someone into an arse-kicker takes some time to develop and I can't help but think the show would have to slow down a bit if this is the route the storyline takes. It's going to suck (for me) though because I am starting to get that Green Arrow/Black Canary feel from Ollie & Sara.

They have mentioned Kord Industries quite a few times over the series. With the way Felicity stated it though, there is going to be a tie-in there eventually and as long as they have Ted being CEO then he will get tossed into the mix as well.

I wonder if they will use Arrow to do a Blue Beetle origin story as well?

I haven't found a site that points them all out yet but I did just stumble upon this reference that no one caught.

im sure Ted Kord will make an appearance next season. they have put a lot of emphasis on the company already. I imagine the "blue beetle" story to be more like an Iron Man suit where its this hybrid techno suit that has an AI influencing him.

I wouldn't mind the Jaime Reyes version. I never got into the comic version but he was one of the better characters on Brave and the Bold and Young Justice.

Actually if I remember right, the Ted Kord version of the Blue Beetle was basically the same as Green Arrow and Batman in that he never wore the scarab that the other Beetles did. He was just a genius inventor and fighter, but he didn't have any superpowers.

I don't know if the tv people will want to do another tv show about a non-superpowered hero. But if they could tie in Reyes getting the scarab from Kord Industries or Ted himself, that would be pretty cool. Although I'm not sure if they could finacially support the special effects it would take each episode to show the beetle suit.

Good episode. Loved the Slade reveal at the end. The rest of the comic talk just goes over my head. Do love some of the actors they are getting for the show. First Manu Bennett (Crixus on Spartacus) as Slade and now Robert Knepper (T-Bag on Prison Break among other things) as Tockman.

I agree. I would be very surprised if we don't eventually see Kord. I was just saying that I don't see the tv execs doing a Ted Kord spinoff since it would be so close to Arrow or Batman.

Considering Ted, they could handle him like the Ralph Hinkley character from Greatest American Hero if they decided to go the scarab route.

Heck, I didn't even notice it with the bold letters.

I never really read that many of his comics, except some of the Justice League comics he was in. All I really remembered of him was he didn't use the scarab. I only linked Jamie getting the scarab from Kord Industries because of the 2nd season of Young Justice (why they canceled that cartoon I'll never know). How do they explain Jamie getting the scarab in the comics?

Laurel will be the Black Canary, so I'm assuming Slade kills Sarah.
