I'm pretty sure that is Katana, not Thea.

Totally thought Laurel and Nyssa were gonna get it on tonight

Nyssa already had one sister, so she might as well make it a pair.
But ole Oliver needs to hurry up and consumate the marriage before Laurel and Felicity ruins it for him.

We already established what her ASSets were.

Felicity has gone from being interesting enough, to the absolute worst part of the show. The whole "Oliver is the greatest human being of all time" thing is super duper annoying. A decent enough supporting character to the worst character on the show.
What they've done with Felicity is the writers biggest misstep. She never should've been pushed as a serious live interest for Ollie. It never should've went further than her having a crush. They slowly but surely took what was great about her, cute and goofy sidekick, and pushed her in this inorganic direction.
Laurel was the girl they should've used for this and the show has suffered for the writers obstinance in this regard. Many episodes would've had much greater impact had Laurel been in the Love interest role.

Agreed 100%. Now Laurel is almost unwatchable, very annoying.

They should have ditched a few of the villain of the week episodes to focus more on fleshing out Ras and giving him more shite to do.
Agreed. Oh you can still do villain of the week episodes and pull them off just fine, but at least have a side scene or two with Ras to help develop that sense of menace you need. Contrast this season to season two where Slade got constant screen time to build up anticipation of the big finale.
Hell, instead of giving us the mostly dull Hong Kong flashbacks, give us some Nyssa flashbacks to establish just how ruthless her father can be. Sprinkle a few of those through the season to keep Ras on the slow boil.

The Olicity folks will disagree (probably vehemently
It also has stalled a lot of the hope of redeeming Laurel's character after the the near ruin they inflicted on her in the second season. Now the best she can hope for is being a third wheel, who seems out of place on Team Arrow.
The writers had an out with Ray Palmer. They should've just had Felicity stick with Palmer and follow him to the new spinoff show. Heck, I think the interaction between the two of them is funner anyways. But now I don't see how they will be able to further the drama of Oliver and Felicity's relationship without hurting what made Felicity's character so fun, and/or continuing the plot point of someone or something getting in their way.

Yes! How great were those two on Flash a few weeks ago?
Ray is great and will continue to be on Legends or whatever. I just wish they would steer Felicity back in the right direction. Maybe the new co showrunner(female) will help in that regard.

Hey yall leave my girl Felicity alone!
Posted on 4/30/15 at 9:08 am to Murray
I'd think that they'd be hesitant to lose Felicity to another show since she's the one positive aspect of Arrow. Without her, the show falls into being a totally dark and depressing hour.

I'm sorry, when it comes to failures of this season nothing tops Oliver's return from the dead. Sword through the vitals and a 4 story fall, this penicillin tea will clear that right up.

I tell you, I haven't agreed with anything this much before. Everyone's post (since the new episode) have been spot on what I'm feeling. The Felicity thing w/ Oliver, the lack for Laurel thing with Oliver, the annoyance that Felicity is now and the poor writing of the Hong Kong flashbacks.
Its like all of you have been reading my minds.
And I'm not a fan of the "Oliver to Nyssa" story line. I just don't see how they are going to bring Oliver back in two episodes. If I know anything, I know the CW (Smallville). They will leave this hanging till next season, probably. I hope they write interesting stories for the aftermath.

Why don't they just call up Barry, have him go get Ollie and bring Ra's back to the Star Labs basement for safe keeping? I wouldn't think that Ra's would stand a chance at all against the Flash.

If someone kidnapped Ra's and rescued Oliver, the whole League would descend on Starling City in a murderous rage.
