I was kidding with the coated blade crack. The editors definitely screwed up with that.

I know, but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to paraphrase Monty Python.

I haven't read any of the comics so I'm going on assumptions here, but I would assume Ra's keeps his pit pretty well guarded, so someone close to him would have to be the one to dip Oliver. So I'm guessing it's Nyssa, Ra's himself, or other Chinese dude that Oliver lived with for a time.

How do the pits work in the comics? Ra's said it's been 67 years since he was last challenged. Does he die and the pits bring him back younger?

It heals people that are hurt, and can even revive the dead. It can also de-age someone depending on how long they stay in it. But it will kill a healthy person if they get in it. Also it can only be used once. Ra's and Nyssa are the only ones that have ever been able to use one more than once I believe.

ETA: It also usually drives people nuts when they use it.

Interesting. Is there something special about them or what?

I think the way I worded that was a little confusing. I meant that each pit can only be used once to revive a person. But I know Nyssa has used one more than once for sure (I think she was able to alter it somehow), but I'm not sure about Ra's. I know in some comics he has had to find new ones for it to work again, but comics can be inconsistent so I don't know if he has ever been able to use the same pit twice.

I'm 90 % positive that was Merlin in the promo and I think the reason he was sending Oliver to his battle to the death with Ra's was a test to see how much he loved Thea knowing she's Merlin's daughter. He knew Oliver didn't have a prayer in hell to kill Ra's and that is why he is there waiting to either help Oliver or take him to the Pits. But Oliver is definetly not dead he's reported on his twitter we just got done filming episode 60 and shite and like that. Plus he is slated like I said earlier for 69 episodes and we are on what episode 54.

Do people think he's really dead?

So, what now? The show just ends? Of course he isn't dead. The question is, how is he revived and who does it?

Its now Roy's city to save

Kidding of course. At first when ollie got bitched I was like NOOOOOO then after like 3 seconds post initial shock I realized there is no way they are killing him off. I kept thinking he was gonna make a quick move and Ra's fall off. Reminds me of GoT in the way of you are just so use to knowing the good guy is gonna barely squeak out alive and be good. But they just die hahaha

The people in Starling City better have their auto insurance paid up, because it'll look like a hail storm from hell came through after Roy gets done flipping off of the hoods of everyones cars.
