There was a thread some time ago about what TV Show made for the best gifs / memes. I'm pretty sure we have answered the question quite definitively with this thread.

Just watched the first 4 episodes...it's ok...nothing great so far. Buster seems to be the funniest character to me. Is that how ya'll feel?
Keep watching.
Really all the characters are great and it changes episode to episode for me. I cant point out one single character as the clear cut funniest

That's what my buddy said...but I've yet to find anything he does funny. Maybe he'll grow on me.

To me that's really where the show is so extremely awesome in the subtleties that you don't really pick up on your first time watching. Plus background sight gags, like George Michael doing the Charlie Brown walk in front of a dog laying on its back on a red doghouse, or more obvious things the statue for the father-son reunion with the inscription "He Came." Plus all the foreshadowing, and great references to the Andy Griffith Show and Happy Days.
I'm on my 5th or 6th rewatch of the series now and hope to finish the day before season 4 is released. I'll probably watch season 4 in one massive binge session, then continually rewatch until the movie comes out.

This is definitely true, but Tobias and Gob usually have more. Also, Lucille has some awesome one liners

The sexual harassment speech in the office made me pee.
[earlier that day] Please refrain from discussing or engaging in any inter-office *bleep* or *bleep* -ing, or finger *bleep* or *bleep* -sting or *bleep* -esting or *bleep* eing or *bleep* or even *bleep* even though everyone in the office is begging for it. Oh and if anyone tries anything with my sister Lindsay, I'll take off my pants, I'll show you my *bleep* . And I'll personally *really long bleep* .
And how can we forget
Michael Bluth: You may want to start acting like the president, GOB. You're beginning to alienate some of the employees.
Gob: Yeah, like the president has to worry about alienating the employees.
Narrator: In fact, GOB had started to alienate some of the employees.
Gob: [in the break room] Yeah, like I'm going to spill coffee all over this $3,000 suit! COME ON!
Gob: [at the elevator] Yeah, the guy wearing the $4,000 suit is holding the elevator for the guy who doesn't make that in four months. COME ON!
Gob: [in the bathroom] Yeah, like I'm going to take a whiz through this $5,000 suit! COME ON!

Watching S1 when the accountant is about to testify against them is great. A billion Gilligans Island references
ETA another example of the shows brilliance

I loved Seinfeld, Curb your Enthusiasm, South Park, The Simpsons and movies like Clerks, Office Space, Old School, Walk Hard and the Other Guys, but I'm having a "meh" reaction to Arrested Development. It's ok, fine. But, it's not laugh out loud. It's pleasant, but, it seems predictable and formulaic.
Why the revered status?
I don't understand the question and I won't respond to it

I'll give you that a lot of it isn't laugh out loud funny, but it's subtle humor (and even not so subtle) and is funny because of the content as opposed to the actual jokes themselves (if that makes sense).
I laugh at AD similar to how I laugh at Community...I love Community and think it's very funny, but I'm not busting out laughing the whole time. I guess it's sort of clever or quick-wittedly funny than laugh-out-loud funny.
I just started season two of my rewatch and it's hilarious to me.

I've watched almost every episode, have 5 left...started a week ago. This show is amazing. Idk how it's possible to not laugh out loud about Gob or Buster. I'm still laughing when Gob made the family yacht "disappear" in his great comedy act...he fricking sank it with Kitty on board
You have a problem if you don't laugh at this show. It's impossible not too.

FWIW, I fricking love AD and hate Seinfeld.
Also, what's the significance of P2252/Howdy Doody?
I do remember this though (as I just watched the episode a couple nights ago):

If never seen a show get kicked off then come back so strong with a fan base twice its original size. It goes to show that this is one of the greatest comedies in just 3 seasons.

I thought this was odd as well....what's the story behind the cancellation?
Posted on 5/14/13 at 11:19 am to CocomoLSU
that was the code for George Sr.'s ankle bracelet. not sure if there's something else to it

Critcs loved it which kept it alive as long as it did, but it had terrible ratings
By the time people figured out how awesome it was and tried to get more viewers for the show, it was too late because what makes the show great (all the call backs to previous episodes and jokes) is what killed the show because new audiences cant just jump into the show in S2 or 3 and know whats going on or why thats funny
