All the people in film blessed with superpowers are either in shape and want to do good and save the world or they are the villian.

That bad will smith movie touch on this a little. I want to see a normal person get powers and not care about helping others, but not a bad guy either

Yeah, that immediately comes to mind. Also Batman in The Dark Knight Returns.

Probably the only one who could pull it off is Superman.

He doesn't need to be in shape. He's Superman.

He can do anything even with a giant beer gut.

Superman is just naturally better than everyone else. He's not Iron Man or Captain America.

I would like to see a drunk and brooding Superman in the movies that you see in some old comics. Superman is really surly in the Comics because he basically despises humans and how weak and lame they are...and criticize Superman for saving our asses.

Beer belly, perpetually drunk Superman would be funny. And he'd still kick every other Superheroes arse while in a drunken stupor.

Night Owl II has a decent sized pony keg where his abs should be.

The first half of Hancock was a kick. He was wino Superman.

Plenty superheroes don’t really have to be in shape for their powers to work, but movies will always want to cast attractive people.

Superman, Cyclops, Invisible Woman, Prof X, Magneto

Professor X - that sumbitch could walk if he wanted to. Just scamming for the handicapped parking sticker.

Captain America started as a normal guy.

Spiderman started as a normal guy.

But he still gets to pound Malin Akerman.

Four star movie the first half.

1 star bizarro land in the second half.

Not sure I've seen anything like that in a movie so stark. It was like two completely different films.

Hancock
The Incredibles
The Watchmen
Heroes
Chronicle
Limitless
Phenomenon
Jumper
Unbreakable
What Women Want
Liar Liar
Bruce Almighty

All of those movies/shows fully or semi-address flawed and/or normal people empowered with special abilities.

Ben Grimm was frequently depicted as your basic beer drinking, bad diet, cigar smoking, sports fan New Yorker. He wasn’t fond about doing things or going out.... unless he was required to fight a baddie, he always struck me as a lazy dude.

The librarian from Doctor Strange was kind of plump. He counts since he was fighting in the final battle of the movie and is in the cast list for Infinity War.
