Yep. If you bailed on it after the Abby dying season, jump back in. This season is back to kicking arse.

There are several stories going on. Ray and Susan Sarandon, Mick and Bunchie, Daryll, Bridget and boyfriend, Terry; each have their own things going, of course with some overlap.

If one is not to your liking, wait 5 minutes and it will switch gears to another one.

Man tonight’s episode was one of the best in years IMO

This season has gotten the series back on the track

It’s like the original writers took a couple of years off and decided to come back.

Anyone still watch Ray Donovan? by LesnarF5
Banshee was THE best series on TV IMO.

Ray Donovan is no Banshee but it’s not bad. The mother and daughter always annoy me.

The last 2 seasons have been a chore but it's really got its mojo back. They got back to their roots with Ray as a fixer and kicking arse. They ditched Abby whose storyline was just so boring, they mostly wrote out the mexican wrestling chick/bunchie scenes which i just couldn't muster any fricks about.

I'm liking the vibe of NYC as a backdrop over LA/southwest. I like Ray best when he's drinking, fightin, and frickin.

SPOILERS: Don't read if you are not caught up

Ray Donovan is probably my favorite series, but season 5 was bad. It is the only season I didn't go back and watch before the new season started, but it seems to be rebounding.

It seemed like Ray was bouncing back, but last week's episode ended leaving you wondering WTF is going to happen. Bunchie fricks up by telling his ex-wife he was going to take care of them with the money the stole, Ray ends up beating him up and taking the money to pay off Sam.

Bridget tells him she needs him out of her life and leaves. Ray's actions got Lena's girlfriend killed and she left telling Ray he would die alone.. Terry's shakes came back while fighting in some fight club.

His wife is dead, his daughter doesn't want him in her life, his son went to the Marines. He fricked over Sam, the relationship with Mick and his brothers are not that good. Except for Terry, but Terry loved Ray's dead wife so that's kind of strange. It's one of the few shows that is truly hard to predict.

It really feels like they're building this up to be the final season.

I've read that the ratings are way down so they are not sure at this point. I am sure the reason is related to how bad season 5 was, but maybe they are setting up so that they can finish up one way or the other depending on what Showtime depends on doing with the show.

Either way, I think either when the show ends for good or when they decide to eliminate one of the following characters, this is how it will happen.

Mic will die at some point.

Bunchie will do something to completely frick up something and he will likely end up killing himself.

Daryll will get caught in the middle of some bullshite Mic gets him involves in that will get him killed.
