This is one hell of a guest performance he's ending it all with. I've always enjoyed this show - gotta say I'm sad to see it end.

Looking forward to what he does on CBS.

Great show , started watching in grad school 10 years ago. Sad to see it end.
The star power in that song ...wow!

Part of me expected they would kill off Colbert in this episode. Specifically a bear attack.

solid send off.

Why are they ending it now if he doesn't start on CBS until May?

I have no idea, but maybe they wanted to put some space in between his "character" and his new, realistic persona. Just a wild arse guess there.

This school pretty much defined my college years. I'm genuinely bummed out at the moment.

I remember watching his first few shows and thinking it wouldn't last. It's weird seeing a show you've grown up with end.

I feel the same way about the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

Hasn't started here yet. I am sad this show will be no more though. My husband and I love this show.

I think he actually doesn't start until September. Letterman ends in May.

I'm sure he wanted a long vacation, time to practice his new schtick, and some break time between the Colbert character and the Colbert person.

Really sad though. Stephen Colbert was one of if not the most unique characters on television.

I loved the ending. While it would have been funny for Colbert to kill off his character, it is more fitting that he achieved immortality. The show started with a 'toss' from Stewart and ended with Colbert tossing it back to Stewart at the end which is nod to how the show actually came to be. The only thing that could have made the ending better was to have papa bear, Bill O'Reilly, replace trebek.

I liked all the celebrities

I wasn't expecting people like General Odierno to be in the group though, haha.

I never watched tCR, but I've laughed when I ever caught bits and pieces of it flipping through the channels.

Is there somewhere I can watch the last episode online?

I would imagine it would be on Hulu. If you link Hulu to your cable provider you are supposed to have shows available the very next day to you.

Just checked...you can watch it on Comedy Central's website.

Yep. I teared up at the end. One of the most creative shows ever created. Colbert is a genius.
