My wife and I are looking for a new series to watch. It's hard to find something we both like. We watched the first episode last night. It was okay IMO; not great but not terrible. Does it get better, or should I look for something else?

TIA

I liked it
Was it great? No, but it was good.

Give one or two more episodes a try.

Wife and I watched the whole series. It’s a great option if you’re looking for an easy watching show without complexity. First few seasons, the shows are all standalone so it doesn’t matter if you daydream through one - you’re all caught up by the next episode. Longmire reminded me of my late father, so that was kind of a bonus.

The first two seasons are amazing, and it kind of goes off the rails a bit as time goes on, but I'd definitely do a rewatch of it.

the scenery and setting are cool as its pretty much a modern western. most of the characters in the show are pretty forgettable though

I would love to live in that house he had.

The scenery was great.

I remember when it first came out and recognized the lead actor as one of the Agents in The Matrix...

Oh shite, you're right.

I enjoyed it. Scenery was beautiful, acting was good. It's definitely a modern western.

My only real complaint was the ending. It seemed like they wanted to put a neat little bow on every character's end and it just felt a little forced and rushed.

It’s really a throwback show with a legit hero and mostly self-contained episodes. It’s like something from the 80’s. And I loved it. Nice break from series long plot lines and dark gritty anti-heroes.

Would you rather Longmire's house or Branches Dads's house?

Gotta make Nighthorse’s house an option to.

Jacob ended up being my favorite character.

Enjoyed it. Wife loved it. Got her a Red Pony tshirt.

Me? Honestly the series made me REALLY want to try a Ranier beer he was always drinking. Tried like hell to find one. Would have even had one shipped.

To this day I've failed. Anyone know how to get one? Haven't thought about it in awhile, but would still love to try one.
