Well, I saw the original in the theater when it was released, and the strong suggestion that Luke and Leia would hook up, not be siblings. I still refer to that movie as "Star Wars", not "A New Hope".
I remember all this as so many thought it would be Luke and Leia not Han and Leia. Even Han was worried in RoTJ.
I also still refer to it as Star Wars.

My favorite aspect was the futuristic element combined with WW2-type warfare, not the magical element of the Force saving the day at the end. My favorite character was Han Solo, not Luke. And for the record, Luke doesn't get to "use the Force" if not for Han saving his arse first.
The force was in the OT but it was not the main theme. I took the Jedi more like the Samurai practicing the ways of the old and not willing to conform to present day. Why they were no longer around

The movie series may have taken a hard turn into Force fascination, but there has always been room to explore the 'normal' side of things. Sadly, it hasn't been done much. It seems like this show is doing exactly that- no magical Force users as of now.
My favorite part of the show as well, that and showing the rebellion is more ruthless rather than showing it like in the movies as everything was in response to fear of their lives. Made it more innocent their retaliation than what this show is showing.
But if the force becomes part of it and/or he is a Jedi I hope they follow it like they did in the OT. I do not mind a back story and seeing a different historical aspect just not be the main theme. The reason the Empire is in charge is because of the arrogance of the Jedi.

I’ve been watching Star Wars for five mins and already heard:
- The ability to destroy a planet, or even a whole system, is insignificant next to the power of the Force.
- I find your lack of faith disturbing.

I've been watching Rebels. So far I'm early in Season 2 and so far there has been Ezra, Kanan and Ahsoka (at a time when most Jedi were supposed to have been wiped out) as well as Darth Vader and the Inquisitor. (To me it seems like the Inquisitors were a way to get more force users on the dark side of the force without mucking about with the whole 2 Sith thing.).
So yeah, they can kind of fixate on force users sometimes.

Order 66 was to eliminate all the Jedi not force users or those that did not know. Ezra had no clue and Kanan was in hiding under a different name. Ashoka was no longer a part of the order and Vader was still looking for her during this time. I think the way Rebels has done it works as it shows the force is still apart of the universe but does not control anything that happens.

I don't want to get too far out in front of myself on Rebels, but I think I saw Darth Maul listed in the character list.
Also, when Kanan was captured, the Inquisitor said Kanan's master told him to run and he did. Was that retconned?

Question...... Why the drop of Andors original storyline of looking for his Sister? did i miss something? seems after the Bix Rd attack they just dropped that storyline
Posted on 12/5/22 at 2:06 pm to CarRamrod
I doubt it has been dropped. I am willing to bet season 2 opens with something involving the sister or an explanation of why only kids were alive on that planet.
(please tell me that wasn't explained and I missed it.)

Maarva told him to quit looking for her after he returns from the heist and then he's in hiding, in jail, and helping start a revolution.
Diego Luna said in an interview on 11-24 the the search for Cassian's sister isn't over.

Yes and Rebels does a great job with his story arc.

No that is what happened. In the first episode(IIRC) of Bad Batch you see what happens with Kanan and his master. A good tie off for his back story.

Killing Maul in episode I was a big mistake. It was pretty dumb how he was brought back.
But after he was brought back, he was part of some of the very best Star Wars stories. The battle between Palpatine and Maul and his brother, Mandalore, the final episodes of clone wars, his arc in Rebels. All of this is excellent.

I haven't seen how they bring him back yet, but given that he was literally cut in half, I'd think that any way of bringing him back would push believability.

Yeah you could say that It involved sometimes pretending he only had his legs cut off, hatred so strong that it kept him alive, giant spider robot legs, witches making new robot torso and legs with magic.
Dave Filoni likely understood there was no good answer, but that it would be worth it to push through that to get to the good stuff, basically reversing the bad decision to kill him. It was worth it.

The Crimson Dawn syndicate could have its own series.

Filoni did a great job with it. It was well designed and fed into the overall story arc. Filoni used what we thought was his death as Maul's motivation moving forward.
I will not spoil the ending but he came full circle in his arc.

It seemed like we would see that live action until The Last Jedi screwed everything up.

Going back to my unfounded theory about Kleya being Andor's brother, I've wondered why exactly Luthen had had his eyes on Cassian and, sure, it could have been because he was impressed at the items Cassian was able to procure to sell, but could it also be that Luthen knew Kleya had a brother, she would have been going about Kassa when he first took her in, and he was able to determine that Clem and Maarva were on that planet about the same time, discovered they took a child as well, and kept an eye on them? Kleya becomes deeply involved with the rebellion, and when Luthen learns more about Cassian's life and all that he's been a part of, he knows the pedigree is there to be an important tool.
I won't let this go until they prove me wrong in season 2

Mostly anything is possible, but let me throw this out there:
If she was going on and on about Kassa which led to Luthen being intrigued by Cassian, she sure has become cold blooded to not even flinch when Luthen is planning to liquidate Cassian. Kleya knows his name, that the Empire is looking for him after the first episode, and that he is from Kenari. Apparently not many Kenaris floating around the galaxy. For your theory to work she'd either have to be a sociopath, an embicile, or have Alzheimer's.

Does she know she's from Kenari? Luthen didn't know about the APB on him until just before he landed on Ferrix so she might not even know that fact about him. Maarva made sure to hide Kenari from everyone but Cassian was old enough to remember it. Kleya might not know anything about that and might not have put Kassa and Cassian together.
Also, Luthen would be one who would see "value" in keeping most, if not all, of Kleya's past hidden from her.
Regardless, I'm really intrigued by what her backstory will be.
