Peep Show blackface scene removed from Netflix - but not Channel 4

quote:

Channel 4 told Sky News: "We do not believe that erasing our creative history is a quick fix for the issues affecting our society today."

The moment appears in the season two episode Dance Class, during a bedroom scene featuring Jez and his girlfriend Nancy, played by Robert Webb and Rachel Blanchard respectively.

quote:

In the scene, Jez says: "It just feels almost wrong. Are you sure this isn't racist?"

But the scene when he knowingly eats a cooked dog’s leg is totally okay.

frick Netflix for defacing the best comedy of all time. If they thought that scene was bad they would probably faint watching this one. LINK It's from That Mitchell and Webb Look.

No interest in defending Netflix's decision, but, ummmm, yeah, why wouldn't that be okay?

Unlike Netflix, I don’t have a problem with either of those scenes in a comedy series, but why is one considered worse than the other?

omg how dare they mess with Peep Show!

I’m so mad it’s not available on US DVD. I would totally buy it in a heartbeat.

I wonder if they’ll mess with the episode where Daryl is a racist that episode is one of the best in the show.

Peep show is one the best comedy series ever made, it’s golden

Sad that Netflix feels the need to keep censoring things on our behalf

I saw a kid complaining the other day that they read "To Kill a Mockingbird" in her high school class, and it "has the 'n word' in it."

Yes it is. Super Hans may be my favorite auxiliary character of any show.
