HCJ was more enjoyable than the singing. I get such a kick out of him. I wasn't bowled over by anyone, but we don't know who they're leaving out of these clips, either.

I don't usually pay close attention to these first tryouts. I'm doing it this year, but only because HCJ and the judges are entertaining. Makes it so much more palatable. I can't get enough of HCJ. When he played the contestant with Keith, I was laughing out loud. The guy could be a standup comic.

so the black miley was pretty good... the other chick who learned to play from her dad is pretty talented.. Harry is a lot of fun to watch. JLo is like the sister sitting at the table between her 2 brothers who keep goofing off. wonder what keith wrote on harry's leg?
oh and as someone else said..they seem to be putting a lot of people through who have NO business getting through.. they must have to reach a quota?

Yeah I didn't like her.
I did love the 16 yr old blonde that sang John Mayer. And the black preacher was great. The guy that sang his own original with the guitar was outstanding too.

I was surprised they put through Sugar Hill Gang's daughter when I heard how mediocre she was, but then they brought in the dad. It looked like the producers cut a deal with him in lieu of an appearance fee or something.

I haven't seen anyone who was fantastic.
