So Danny is defintely a piece of shite. Also, the scene with the grandfather in the hospital was tough on me. That was basically my father in his last days. I was the one who gave him the comfort cocktail for him to slip off and pass. Tough thing for me to carry and tough to see again.

A lot of people in the show end up being giant pieces of shite. George's friends when he was young who left him on the island. May was arguably a pos. The kids who picked on the deaf girl and stole her toy. Grandfather Russ who never had a relationship with George.

I think every episode had a POS in it.

I thought Episode 6: Parallel was only bad episode. I mean the guy figures out he is in another universe and is barely even tries to crank up the tractor to get back and gives up. And his parallel self who has zero science experience figures out exactly how he got there in seconds and is ok with it. The entire thing was just stupid.

Finished this show over the past 2 weeks. Enjoyed it but damn it’s depressing. Very strong final two episodes and that last episode is HEAVY.

Looking at the artwork makes me think they can run this series for quite a few seasons.

The score reminds me of The Leftovers. That’s a good thing.

Not sure if this will pop back up to the front page, but MAN!

I just finished this and what a great slow burn show. Not at all like the predictable pablum churned out by Hollywood these days.

It's too slow paced to binge in my opinion, it took me 2 weeks to watch all of it. But it's great sci fi. Really reminds me of Phillip K Dick's writing.

If you haven't watched it, and you want something different, this may be your speed.

wow what a great recommendation,

The last episode was emotional AF.

Whoever described this as Black Mirror crossed with The Leftovers hit the nail on the head

yeah it really seemed out of place. I suppose they needed to get 8 episodes.

1: Laretta/Cole
2: Jakob/Danny
3: May/I forget his name
4: Grandfather/Cole
5: Danny's Dad
6: Random maintenance guy and sexy dude from Spain
7: George
8: Cole/Laretta

Just started this. Liking it so far.

Is the search function messed up or something? I searched for this and found no results. Then I googled the show title + tigerdroppings and easily found this thread.

I just started it too, I didn't realize it's been around for a couple of years.

Yes, Google is really the only way to search for threads.
