I think the show is great.

Seriously, the worst actor in the history of television. Whenever I used to watch the show I would just sit in amazement that someone actually thought it was a good idea to give that kid a fairly prominent role in a television show. I mean, wow, every line just hurts it's so bad.

But this kid really makes you want to kill him. He is such a whiny shite.

Bill is worth the price of watching this show though.

Well the difference is everyone in the world thinks The Wire is an awesome show

Newflash: life is awkward. Noone in real life has the right thing to say all the time like most movies/tv shows. Thats realistic

Ok. But does that necessarily make it great television?

To be fair I was usually distracted by something else when I tried to watch The Wire. I only made like 5 episodes. I need to go back and give it a chance but nothing grabbed me right away.

Honestly it took me awhile to really get into it, if it wasn't for everyone on this board talking about how amazing it was I probably would have given up. Very glad I didn't though, it's one of my favorites

i haven't tried the wire yet but i do get blasted for criticizing breaking bad on here.

i dont think its a bad show i actually think it's decent but the main characters are so fricking annoying it really ruins the experience for me. hank, walt, skylar and marie all make me want to go on a killing spree.

I couldn't agree anymore on this one. I'm somewhere in season 3 and I just don't have much of an interest in watching it. I know people say how great it gets from here but it's the same people who said how great it was before. Walt is just terribly annoying and actually pretty stupid for how smart he is

I think what killed it for me is I started it right after I finished The Wire. And The Wire is all about how nobody is all good and nobody is all bad, everything is more dynamic in nature than you'd think. Breaking Bad on the other hand is pretty clear cut who's good and who's bad, yea Walt and Jesse do some bad stuff but they're still obviously supposed to be the good guys. Nobody is rooting for Tuco

I won't spoil it for you if you are only in season 3 but that could change.

It seems like some people love to just rave about everything and freely throw around superlatives.

Maybe your expectations were too high.

When I watched the show, I was not fapping to it like some of the posters on here, but I definitely thought it was really good and had to keep watching until I finished. I really enjoyed the show as a whole and found myself rooting for some of the characters.

Freaks & Greeks made me feel pretty much the same way I did when I read Catcher in the Rye. Enjoyed it during the process, hated the ending, and then loved it after I was finished.

One of the best TV shows ive ever seen. Three episodes in yeah it's not the greatest ever. But it gets better and better as it goes once you get to know the characters better. Especially Bill and Daniel. Kim is pretty annoying the while time, though the episode about her parents is hilarious. EP 15, Spin the bottle episode, is one of the best single episodes in TV history. Such a redeeming episode for two guys who haven't caught a break the entire show up until that point.

But I don't see how not liking it makes you a dick.
