Don’t get me wrong, there are some entertaining parts and the show is well done for the most part. But it drags in places and Walt’s character is pretty depressing. He’s just a lying sack of shite with no reesming qualities. Does it get any better or are the first 2 seasons a good representation of the next 3 seasons (or how ever many there are). If so maybe it’s just not for me and I need to cut my losses.

I respect the show, it's very well made, but I also didn't really care for it.

The best seasons are beyond where you are, but if you don't like season 2 the show just isn't for you.

It takes a few seasons to take off, but when it does... hold on for the wild ride. I've watched it through three times. Its a masterpiece IMO.. especially for it's time (not so long ago).

I am absolutely in the minority but I have always enjoyed the first three seasons of that show the best and think they are superior to S4 and S5. Different strokes I guess.

It definitely does. I always mention how slow it seemed to develop anything, and I usually get downvoted into oblivion.

But it definitely was slow as frick and I couldn’t imagine watching week to week. I binged it in 11 or 12 days so it wasn’t so bad. And it’s a great show, but very overrated IMO. If you aren’t into it by now though, maybe it’s just not for you, OP.

I quit halfway through season 2 as well. There were some good episodes, no doubt, but I just didn't give a shite about any of the characters.

This. Season 3 is where it goes from good show to GOAT and it continues building from there. Seriously, stick with it.

Jesse was the only halfway likable character on the show. I've liked Vince Gilligan since his days on the X Files, but I'll never understand why this show gets so much hype.

I didn't really get bought in till mid way through the third season tbh. It's a really well made show but it's a really slow burn for a couple seasons. It's worth sticking with it.

I loved Breakong Bad, but I find Better Call Saul to be the superior show

Are we already in the "that thing that was universally loved is kinda lame now" stage with Breaking Bad? I guess this is what getting old is like.

Not sure who we is but I’m in the finally getting around to watching Breaking Bad and find it kinda depressing and slow and am asking those who have watched it if it gets any better stage.

I disagree. hated jesse.

IMO best characters were Gus, Hank, and probably Tuco, in that order.

Walt was Ok, hated his whiney shite.

We stopped about halfway through S2. We have discussed revisiting it, but really it just didn't grab either of us. Same thing with Ozark. We really wanted to like both of these though
