Any modern military could take a xenomorph, cmon. I bet you thought the gorilla would win vs 100 men.
I’m not completely defending the writing as mentioned before but you just gotta let some stuff go. Yes, I would love a smarter crew vs the aliens but this is what “fiduciary responsibility” does. It’s a balance of do I keep watching so that FX knows I want this stuff or not bc the writing isn’t all that good. Most of it is good but just makes bad decisions. Better to watch and have forum/Twitter discussions on how bad some of the writing was but keep the high viewer count.
Bc if you choose to just not watch, you won’t get Aliens. You’ll get Kardashians.

Was waiting for this episode about what happens on the ship. It was......predictable but entertaining. I didn't wanna skip which is good. The suspense is lacking at times especially with the run times being an hour. This xenomorph is a baby right? It sure is hesitant to kill folks! By alien standards at least

What do you mean? I feel like ~90% of all xenomorphs weve ever seen are newly hatched.
And whether it tends to stalk before the kill or just kills without hesitation has also varied across Alien film. Whatever the scene calls for I guess?

The queen wasn't newly hatched, so I guess just her? I am clearly not an alien lore guru. I'm judging this mostly from the first. I would like to add the apprentice engineer had me scratching my head at how stupid he was.

Just got to watch the last epsoide 5. I wish they would have done a little more. That set was so cool looking.
That cheese fest of the alien running around the ship looked bad. Legit looked like a dude in a body suit.
and yes, some of the actors are bad in this series.
That poor maintence guy.
He is the only one for that entire mile long ship.
Dude must be working non stop. Until the eye infected him.
Seems like a common theme of the whole alien series is "breaking Protocal and containmating the entire crew"
Still enojoyed it. Will continue watching.

Seeing this as a 21 page thread, I have to assume this is a great series? I watched all 3 Alien movies way back when and I did see Prometheus. I have not seen the others like Covenant and Romulus. Does that matter?

We watch it on Hulu so no commercials. Highly recommend.
Ol’ Ginger gonna crack even harder now that they fricked with her system.
The plot holes in the lab bothered me in this one (even though it’s delightful to see some of the different monsters in action). An unsecured vent. Isaac just going full idiocy and going into a room.
Still a fun episode.
