Aladdin (animation) v Aladdin (live action)

I like both. They each have there own caveats. Smith tried to make the role his own. Williams was a great Genie.
But my question is why does the animated version have a warning attached to it while the live action version doesn’t? I’ve watched both numerous times and can’t tell an obvious difference between the two to warrant such a “safe space” label.

The warning was put on Aladdin because critics bitched that the movie stereotyped the Middle East and the three main characters were voiced by white actors.
Even better. Dumbo got the warning because, again, “critics” bitched about the black crows racially stereotyping black people.

"WARNING: This feature has outdated references to William F. Buckley and Arsenio Hall."

that's so ridiculous. I had no idea they added a warning before this movie.
There's a warning on Peter Pan too. It's because of the tobacco use and the indians. It's absurd. My son can't watch Peter Pan on a child account on Disney+.

The addition of the “girl power” song in the live action one was cringe-worthy as frick.

The live action Aladdin was the worst of the live action remakes imo. Jungle Book is #1.

Arabs were upset about it back when it originally came out. Disney had to change some lyrics for the home video release. They also didn't like that Jasmine was going to lose a hand for stealing.

Jasmine in the live action version is unbelievably hot.

Although their song is an absolute banger, the portrayal of the Indians in Peter Pan is probably the most offensive thing they've ever done.

Not crazy about the live action version but Will Smith did much better than I thought he would as Genie. He didn’t try to copy Robin Williams. He just did his own version and it was not bad.
As far as the warnings before the movies, I understand a few of them. Especially Peter Pan

Jaws is still rated PG lol. There is nudity and people are literally ripped apart by a giant shark.

Swiss Family Robinson. Because pirates need protecting from stereotypes.

Was it his version or copying the Broadway version?

"critics" have been critical of this since the movie was released. For pretty good reason. It's not a good look.

Critics in the 1940's were critical of the racial stereotypes? Got any proof of this? Wiki only shows praise in the initial reviews. They cite a 1968 book that brought up racial stereotypes.

Morons have been critical of this since a really long time after the movie was released. For no reason. Normal people ignore them.
