Solid episode. I didn't think I would be saying that this early in the season, but I am.
One thing I really enjoyed was a little more depth on Grant. We all took the show to task for his "my brother used to beat me up" excuse, but now we see a glimpse that indicates there's MUCH MORE to that statement.
The last piece of the episode was especially interesting (Coulson dreaming of Tahiti).

yea, his older bro is a real piece of shite it seems.
I was thinking of stuff like dead arms and Indian burns, not a straight up nutter that drops a little kid in a well.
I was wondering... is that the first memory Coulson has after he shot Loki and died?
He seemed pretty freaked out when he woke up.

I am the big brother in my family
Worst I ever really did was give my little bro and his friends typewriters and even then it was never as bad as what I got from the seniors at boarding school.
FYI if you didnt call it a typewriter where you were from its basically where you pin a person down by the shoulders with your knees and then "type" out a letter on their chest with your fingers using a stabbing motion.

One thing that was a little off when Coulson was talking about Thor 1 adventures. You'd think Coulson and SHIELD would have had Erik Selvig or Jane Foster in for questioning. I know Natalie Portman wouldn't be available, but since they're talking about Asgardian history, they couldn't book Stellen Sarsgard?
Ward is actually growing on me. If they continue the angry bit, he's more interesting. Skye just needs to slut it up and kill someone or something. Simmons is the underrated hottie on the show, she should be showing some more skin.
The show needs more espionage, so to speak. It has gotten better. I look forward to the episodes more and more.
ETA: It would be awesome if Coulson found an Infinity Gem in Tahiti before Avengers 2. Or at least start looking for one.

Bump for last night's episode. Everyone calling for a darker side should be happier this week. And everyone screaming "Where is (fill in the blank) during all of this????!!!!?!?!?!" finally get to see there are side effects of the major events that need to be dealt with.
