Also, who was the original Destroyer of Worlds in the old timeline?
Was it Daisy?
Why would she have been the one to absorb the gravitonium?
And what exactly did going to the future teach them to do differently?

I thought that it was implied that Talbot after he absorbed Daisy would have been the destroyer of the world. But Coulson not taking the syrem but instead giving it to Daisy is what eventually changed the timeline. That goes along with what Yo Yo told herself in the lighthouse that Coulson had to die to save the world.

So, technically, he's still in there.

They gave Fitz the old "get on the bus" treatment.

Gotta say I was a tad disappointed with the finale, mostly because I wanted Coulson to say "Tahiti, it's a magical place." Kind of sad to see Coulson finally go. Not quite sure how season 6 will pan out with Mac running the show.

I guess the show is going to ignore the paradox that could be created by taking that Fitz out of suspended animation.

It's not a paradox, but it does create problems.

Cryo-Fitz never married Simmons, doesn't know that he's Deke Shaw's grandfather, and hasn't resolved his mental issues resulting from both his asphyxiation in Season 1 and his time in the framework in Season 4.

Coulson better die. I don't want to see the team having their cake and eat it too.

They can't have it both ways. It's Coulson or saving the world. Choose motherfrickers.

Well looks like Coulson had to save them from their own retarded decisions again and remind them what's at stake here which is the survival of the human race and modern civilization.

Daisy is an idiot when says that the only people saying the ends justifies the means are bad people.

YoYo was fricking right that they had no business betting it all on one man when they had a damn good weapon they could use as a team to stop talbot.

Good finale though. Looking forward to see how they do without Coulson.

Mack is very likely not going to be a very good director. He's way too much of a teddy bear and way too good natured at heart to be a competent director for an organization like SHIELD.

What made Nick Fury and Phil Coulson so good at running SHIELD was that as a super spy organization tasked with fighting extranormal and extraterrestrial threats, they were more than willing to make the hard choices as Director to serve the United States of America and the human race by extension regardless of the personal costs to SHIELD and its agents whether it be their lives or moral center/conscience.

For example, Fury would've made the decision to use the centipede serum against Talbot without a moment's hesitation at all despite having a very close mentor relationship with Coulson, he also kept the secret of Coulson's resurrection an absolute secret from him and let him figure it out and doing that made Coulson into a better leader and agent.

And Coulson kept his terminal illness an absolute secret from the team at all costs until he was physically unable to do so and he also took daisy back to the present from the future despite daisy's wishes.

The loop is broken and the future is fixed, he has no need to go to 2091 anymore and if he did he would end up in a different future world. I kind of wondered what they would do with two Fitz' once the future was avoided, makes sense for one of them to die to make the storylines easier.

quote:

And what happened to Deke? Did he blink out of existence when the timeline changed?

They purposely left that for the viewers to think over. They showed his cluttered room and both of the Fitz' multi-tools on the table. Then when Jemma enters the room after the battle, it is mainly empty and the newer tool is the only one on the table.

I think he's still alive, but he told Daisy he was leaving, and he did after he cleaned his room to see the world and chug some Zima's along the way.

I thought it was a good finale. But I’m disappointed the snap didn’t happen.

I think they played the finale somewhat safe bc they were not sure if it would be renewed so they didn’t want to end with a cliffhanger.

Since they changed the time line as someone else has said, they kind of needed to to kill Fitz since he froze himself in order to meet up with his crew in the future. They will probably go find Enoch’s ship in order to bring Fitz back in the fold since he no longer has to meet up with the crew in the future bc the future has already been saved.

The fun of time travel.

If this series is completely ended now, I’m sad and surprised. This has been my fave series, and I still want more.

Yup. You could clearly see this in the last few episodes with Mack, Fitz and Yoyo arguing.

I have reservations that Coulson is done. Kind of feel like he'll be a mid-season surprise.

Definitely think Coulson will be back since he didn’t actually die and AoS has been renewed for a 6th season. This episode just could’ve doubled as a series finale if needed.

I think they gave him a "bus ride out of town". I'm pretty sure they said he was floating around in space. So, they broke the time loop, but know that they can somehow still get him from that time loop. The same with Coulson. They said he was going to die but we didn't really see him die. Just that he was in what looked like Tahiti.

Fake-killing Fitz...

Fake killing half of the MCU....

I don't mind it.

I didn't know what the hell was happening, but when Fitz died, i was pretty pissed. Then they start talking about him not being dead and all when they were toasting, and i was thinking maybe the Fitz that died was a LMD, but that doesn't make sense. Then i read on here about him being in space frozen and i get a little relief that he'll be back. He's been my favorite character on this show.

Curious as to what kind of badass Daisy is now that she's basically a super soldier with her quake powers. Feels like she would have been very helpful in Wakanda fighting off those aliens before Thor showed up, and Scarlet Witch. Still wish there would have been some vanishing from the snap.

And there is no way Coulson is going to die. He loves playing that character and if they plan on continuing the show, then he will not die. You could tell it was a end of the season show that could double as an end of the series or could continue.

AOS is still my favorite show on tv and i hope they find a way to keep it in its Friday timeslot. That's usually where shows go to die, and AOS viewership keeps dwindling. I wish it would get picked up on Netflix or something, but i doubt that happens.

That's not really a problem.

Also, not a problem. In fact, the major paradox is stopping the destruction of earth.

quote:

hasn't resolved his mental issues resulting from both his asphyxiation in Season 1 and his time in the framework in Season 4.

If you ignore the paradox of the future they went to not actually existing for them to experience, the others at least know about it now.
