Used to not like Brad Pitt cuz all the chick flicks early 90s Then FC & IB were such badass movies , changed all that real quick.
At the top of my list too for the same reasons.
Hell I didn't even see Legends of the Fall until several years back because I had thought it was some kind of chick flick with all the beautifulesque Pitt promotion at the time. Actually an incredible movie and anything but a chick flick.

So, 2 in that span...yet you name movies that say he left that chick-flick run behind.
There is no run.
He did films like Fight Club and Inglorious Basterds his whole career.
You are wrong. Sorry.

Actually, it's kinda weird: as I sit here, earlier sharing the same opinion, but now looking at the list in IMDb, there was no chick flick run. This realization contrasts with my perception. Perhaps it was the heartthrob status he held earlier on that maligned me to him. No telling.
Regardless, I'd say from 92 on he was doing pretty legit work, but I didn't really appreciate him until Se7en, and started to moreso with almost everything after that.

Thank you.
I agree. Heartthrob status made it seem that way.
He also started out on a chick-flick, in Thelma and Louise. But that doesn't really count. It's his first movie and it's not in the years we were discussing.
Mr and Mrs Smith happened between the two mentioned films for him.
He's just had a good film career and girls like his looks.

Kevin Spacey. HoC has won me over, for now.
Kevin Spacey was awesome long before House of Cards.

Brad Pitt wasn't in Bridges of Madison County. You're thinking of Meryl Streep. The only thing close to a chick flick he's done is Meet Joe Black.
