That link was a good list and, aside from the stupid Madonna reference, I can't disagree with any of those.
I mean it's blatantly obvious those like Dr. Dre, Stallone and Carrottop are on roids. And it should be pretty apparent that Sheen and Bale couldn't get that big for those roles without it.

Apparently Bale was 120lbs in the Machinist but I did read elsewhere he got down to 98. I would think it would be impossible to go from 120lbs to 240lbs of lean muscle in 6 months. Was this around the time he had his blow up with his family and on set?

As far as bale goes, I don't think he took roids. He put on a ton of mass in a relatively short period of time but there are legitimate ways of doing that, especially with the time and money he has to do it. His results looked really healthy and not roided and ripped up like some people- Stallone.
Brad Pitt in Troy is the same thing.
Norton was probably roiding based on extremely short time frame.
Plus, you can't forget these are movies, they make these people look a lot better than they actually are by using angles, makeup, lighting and sometimes special effects.

He gained 120lbs in 6 months. I have never heard of such a thing in my entire life and have a hard time believing even steroids could produce such results like he realized as he was in great shape for Batman.

Such as? How can I add 100lbs of LEAN mass in 6 months?

To argue the other side, if you give a Hollywood a-lister 6-12months to get in shape he is going to be taking the best "legal" options out there, have the best trainers, a lot of free time, and the best nutrition/nutritionist. We could all make amazing body transformations under those conditions without the use of drugs.
I was gonna say this. I wish I got paid to do that all day for a few months. My wife would love me!

all TDers need is a little free time and a free trainer and they'd gain 70lbs of lean muscle a month

I'm pretty sure he was saying that Bale didn't look all roided up like Stallone does.

I agree. I also think he definitely had some help bulking up for his awesome portrayal of me but he steroid use isn't quite as outlandish as Stallone.

When you drop far below your normal body weight, your body naturally wants to gain it all back, and pretty quickly. Sure, it's really hard to gain all that back plus a lot more but not as drastic as some people here are making it out to be.
Also, he looks to have gained some fat with that muscle, which is healthy and normal when you're working out to put on a lot of weight. I'm sure he used all kinds of supplements but I don't think I'd believe he roided up unless he admitted it.

Im not sure if I think Bale roided. I mean if he has the will power to eat a can of tuna and an apple everyday, I'm sure he can kill it in the gym and eat six good meals a day to bulk up a ton. But I'm pretty sure he didnt weigh 240 lbs in Batman. Begins we was pretty friggin big, but he wasn't all that big in The Dark Knight.
I mean I can see Bale and Pitt doing it for their respective roles. But I can see them nit doing it too. I'm pretty naive though.
Gyllenhal in Prince of Persia is a good one. Chris Evans in the Captain America looks pretty huge.

A good start would be getting down to 120 lbs first.

hell its been a few years, when they poped a pharmasist in Mobile, LA and tied him to the wretler Kurt Angle, but in the article they tied the guy to providing steroids to musicians as well.
I read it on AL.com, but its been 3 or so years back.
I believe actors/actresses do it more than we know.

I doubt he was 240 lbs for Batman. He's only 6'0'', so he was probably 220-225 during Batman.
If his original weight was 185-190 lbs before cutting down for the Machinist, than it's possible that he could get to 220 in six months without roids.
He could probably make the jump from 110 lbs to 170 in about a month.
That being said, he probably took roids. With the dietitians and doctors these guys retain, taking steroids under supervision really isn't all that dangerous.
