I don't think Goldbloom was despicable in The Big Chill. Though his mannerisims are so marked that that character and his character in Jurrasic Park seem maybe too similar.

Wilford Brimley. First saw him as the grandfather on some show whose name I can't remember. Then he was a bad guy in The Firm.

two pages and nobody has said Anthony Hopkins?
I can't see him as anyone else in any role, I keep waiting for him to talk them into a confusion and eat them

Jonathan Banks (my sig), I'll never not expect him to try to kill/have someone killed in anything he's in.

Joe Pesci in Goodfellas vs. My Cousin Vinny

I had already seen Pesci in Lethal Weapon 2 when Goodfellas came out so My Cousin Vinnie just proved he still had great range.

The first thing I saw him in was a backstabbing ganster, Frankie Manoldi in Once Upon a Time in America.

Tommy in Goodfellas and Nick in Casino were and still are pretty shocking roles to me.

JK Simmons. The first role I saw him in was the gay white supremacist on Oz. No matter what he's in now, all I see is him tattooing a swastika on Beacher's arse.

Never saw that but I felt the same way for the same reason when he was the bad guy in Murder at 1600 (1997).

His character made my skin crawl. He made everyone he was left alone with uncomfortable. Didn't he try to get them to invest in a restaurant or a nightclub. Seemed like he was there for monetary gain, a story or just to better himself. I don't mix business with friends and don't appreciate those that do.

May be one of the reasons I don't like that movie.

So you never saw To Kill A Clown. That was bizarre, and he was definitely evil.

I can't watch a Bradley Cooper movie without thinking of him as the "Sack Lunch" guy from Wedding Crashers.

Yeah, it took me a while to get over that.

It also took me a while to get used to James Spader as anything but a haughty a-hole.

Joaquin Phoenix in Gladiator vs. most his other stuff.

I can tell you now that it will be hard to take the kid who plays Joeffery Baratheon seriously as a good guy.

I'm not sure if he can overcome it. I'm not sure if I've ever seen a bigger piece of shite ever put on screen than this kid.

Stellen Skarsgard

His scene in Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is etched in my memory.

Big departure from when I first noticed him in Good Will Hunting....

Seems like he's getting parts that Klaus Maria Brandauer got a decade ago.
