About to watch Avengers: Infinity War

Sitting here all alone in the theater. I must be the last nerd on planet earth who hasn’t seen this film. 
I’ll let you know my verdict in roughly two and one half hours.

He will surprise us with "It's a middle of the road film in terms of comic book movies. Certainly not better than Suicide Squad but better than Spider-Man 3."

I remember many moons ago taking a girl I was dating to see some Ben Stiller movie. I can’t remember which one, but I can very distinctly remember that we were the only two people in the theater, because we took, shall we say, full advantage of that fact. I don’t envy whatever poor high school kid was on cleanup duty that night.

So I just stepped out of the second best film of Phase 3 of the MCU. I was very pleased to finally get some actual drama in a Marvel Universe movie. Probably not since Winter Soldier have we got that, but I must admit the forced humor with Drax is getting a little annoying. His were the only eye rolling moments I had in this film. Though I must admit I laughed at loud at the moment Tony had with the Guardians and Dr. Strange on Titan. His facial expression was priceless.
I was very pleased that they actually had Thanos win in the end and really like how they had the guts to kill off so many popular characters. But I think we all know the events of this film will be erased entirely by IW2. Disney can’t afford to keep so many of their best and most popular heroes permanently dead.
I really liked the MFer thrown by Samuel L. Jackson in the after credits scene but am confused about who he contacted before he died. Perhaps someone can enlighten me?
Anyways...this was an entertaining flick and definitely the second best film of the Avengers movies. A slow second act dropped its score a tad.
Final Grade: B+
