I watched it. Kinda crazy that they yanked Bill from the Power Plant after like 3 months of training and put him straight on TV when he admitted he didn’t know shite

More like a WCW legend..or mismanaged cash cow.
What I have found fascinating over the years of watching documentary's about the 90's WCW, is how bad it was mismanaged behind the scenes. They were better or at least on par with WWE during the monday night wars, but behind the scenes, the writing, character development, and contracts were tearing the promotion apart, and led to it's ultimate demise. But damn was it good TV.

And as someone who was there in person I for one am glad they had it on Nitro.
Me too. My mom always gets the best Mothers Days ever for taking time to that Nitro.

Damn you. I still get chills every time I watch it I can't imagine what it was like to be there
I watched wrestling religiously from maybe 1985-2000.
Goldberg picking up hogan for the jackhammer may be favorite wrestling moment of all time.

Not watching that one. Too depressing.

They made him too strong in WCW.
He was undefeated until Hogan "cheated".
They would just have him spear people and that was it.
He was the last huge superstar of WCW. Did he ever do WWE?

They apparently still dust him off every few years for Wrestlemania, but that's basically it. I mean he's probably in his mid 50s by now.

Every time I drive past the MS border on I-55, I keep seeing signs for Gillsberg… Gillsberg… Gillsberg…

Goldberg was an absolute trash wrestler. Dangerous to himself and others.

They run 2 shows a year in Saudi Arabia and they're massive Goldberg marks for some reason. Basically gets $1 million for 1 match.

Still a bigger star than crybaby Bret ever was.

That’s irrelevant, mark.
When you’re given an undefeated streak for 2 years it tends to be a big deal.
He was nothing after the streak .
And Bret Hart has plenty of reasons to not like Bill.
Bill was so sloppy he concussed himself.
And he doesn’t have nearly the legacy Bret does, who was a big star himself.

Okay, Bret.

We counting the time Bill fricked up and punched out a limo window, which put him on the shelf for months?
That happened because some dumbass wanted him to use a lead pipe to break the window and he dropped it, so he improvised.

I was referring to the DDP match at Halloween Havoc where Bull concussed himself and made it worse after a spear.
Then couldn’t jackhammer Page (could’ve hurt him) and Page had to carry him.

When Page is carrying someone, it is a bad thing.
Page could do heavily scripted matches. He couldn’t call it in the ring.

But commenting on Goldberg, he had like what 3 or 4 moves
It's not as if Hogan was some in ring technical wizard either. All it takes is charisma to be a star.

He learned at the power plant. So, it makes sense.
Tbh, Kurt Angle would've smoked most those guys if he got his hands on them irl. Imagine if he had went into MMA and learned some striking.
