The Departed. I thought it was just ok at first, now I think it's a classic and one of my favorite films of the past decade.

For me it was Supertroopers and Stepbrothers. I remember barely laughing at both of them the 1st time and now I rank both in my top 5 of comedies all time, and can pretty much quote both from start to finish. No idea why I didn't really lol the first time though.

Not sure if you mean movies you didn't enjoy as much and began liking with repeated viewings or movies that just get better and better but you liked them initially.

Btw, you say Signs, I say Scary Movie 3. A hilarious take on Signs and others that I laugh to every time. That said, I just watched Signs again 2 weeks ago and the movie is terrible, but I like it for some inexplicable reason.

Watchmen. Seen this six times now, I don't know why I wanted to see it the second time but it was so much better.

The Dark Knight. It will stand the test of time and any superhero movie will be judged by its standard. Which is not fair, TDK is too good to be compared with movies in such a shite genre

If I watched this movie 100 times and it got better each time, it still would be horrible by the time I finished.

Characters, editing, cinematography, costume design,
I could go on forever. Aside from some plot holes that are no big deal, it's a wonderful movie and has what I believe will be judged by future generations as an iconic performance. TDKR is nothing special, BB devolves into a run of the mill superhero film in the final act, but you'd have to be blind if you can't see the effect TDK has had on cinema since its release

Just a great movie, and what really stands out to me is that I think the movie doesn't rely on being batman to be great. I can't say that for any superhero movie.

Caddyshack - Watching Dangerfield and Knight interact is timeless comedy.

Jaws - Still the ultimate monster movie

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid - Perfect movie despite Redford's presence.

I've read a lot on your opinions of TDK. I was asking that guy why he could watch it 100x and not enjoy it.

I personally like BB better because most comic book hero movies throughout my lifetime have been simply shitty. BB was slow, methodical and character driven. I know it has flaws. But sell me on your story. TDK carried that on. And by iconic performance, I assume you mean Ledger. If so, I agree wholeheartedly. Trust me, I've seen Batman on screen since Adam West, Caesar Romero, Burt Ward (how do I remember than name). I'm not a fanboy. I just remember.

That said, TDK is a very good movie.
