No, I didn't say that at all. I basically said that I don't see any possible way Batman can win unless we assume that he finds a way to disable the suit ahead of time, which is kind of an easy out for him IMO. Why are you automatically assuming that given time and planning he'd be able to do that? Not giving Batman that benefit of the doubt is favoring Iron Man or giving him an unfair advantage?
eta: My initial thought in this thread was that if the two just ran into each other the way that Iron Man and Thor did in the Avengers it would be an arse kicking on the scale of what the Hulk did to Loki
The problem is that's going exactly against one of Batman's strengths. Tipping the scales in favor of Iron Man, while giving IM access to his strengths.

Well yeah, but that's playing one's strengths, having an arsenal at hand, and not the other's, being a detective and preparing for battle based on study and analysis.

With all the gadgets, Iron Man wins. Pretty cut and dry there and no legit argument otherwise.
No. Seriously. Your view of Batman must be the movies, given ALL resources, it's a fair fight. They're both billionaire's with tons of interesting inventions. There is no legit argument otherwise.

Despite being a bias DC fan, seeing the animated movie "Iron Man:Extremis" based off the comic, Iron Man's armor has become too sci fi(for fair competition).
He's no longer human, his armor is stored inside of him, he has a healing factor, his suit has a healing factor, this posthuman process has augmented the output of his arc reactor, enhancing his intelligence, and with the nano technology in his body, he can create any weapon at any time.
Then again, it's all centered around the arc reactor. You shut it down, you shut down the suit and you shut down Tony Stark.

Bingo. And Batman would find a way to do this. That's how Batman operates.
Now stop making me defend Batman. Caps can beat both /thread

I'm a Flash fan, IDGAF about either of them really
Although this week has been coincidentally crammed with the viewing of Iron Man movies, the Avengers movie, and me finally playing and beating Batman: Arkham Asylum after 3 years of ownership.

I just find it ridiculous. It's actually like Nolan's Batman has actually weakened how people view the character, since that has driven this thread. Tony Stark is a man-made God, and Batman is a hokey guy in a bulletproof vest and football helmet who throws shurikens at people.
Anyone who knows anything about Batman realizes that, with enough time to prepare, Batman beats anyone. That's the standard, that's his "superpower." It's not the fact that he actually beat Superman in an alternate universe. It's that he can. Anyone who thinks otherwise has only seen the films.

I've agreed with you in that regard the entire way. Every time I was gonna enter the argument, you pretty much took my point.
In Tower of Babel, Batman had effective ways to neutralize the entire Justice League. Take into consideration the intent to subdue, not kill. He could have done the latter if he wanted.
Even given the increased complexity of the Iron Man suit, Batman would be near, if not at the top, of people who could figure it out.

let's not forget that Stark is a genius as well...
It would be an interesting fight.

So who has the bigger money pool, Bruce with Wayne Enterprises or Tony with Stark Industries?

According to Forbes, 6.9 billion Wayne, 9.3 billion Stark.
Stark gains more yearly than Wayne does based off the last few years...

Wayne Enterprises probably gives away a lot to charities and museums and theaters and shite. Tony is more like I'm just going to sponsor/buy more shite to make me more money because I can.

I'm actually writing a Superman script right now that I feel addresses this sort of problem for him, because I had the idea and said frick it, might as well write it down. If anyone wants to give it a read, let me know.
Anyone else want to get in on this while I'm in the sharing mood? Hook'em I'm still down to send it to you if you give me your e-mail or e-mail me - TheeDarkKnight@aol.com
