Iron Man is an A- superhero at best.
Batman is the gold standard. Bruce Wayne is the iconic character that begat the Tony Starks of comics.
Stark's New York is just New York. Wayne's Gotham is fricking awesome.

I actually read some fanfics on comic book heroes and superman occasionally and it wouldn't hurt to give yours a shot. I also know of one fanfic series that puts a lot of official series to shame out there. Put it this way, the author is an idiot for writing it for free.

Every superhero can have their asses kicked if you take away their weaponary with the exception of superman he was born with his. Well i guess thor was born to be a god but he has too have his hammer so here goes.
Superman--only kryptonite
Thor take his hammer away
Hulk no realweapon except for emotions
iron man take his suit
batman take his gadgets
captain america superhuman strength but take his shield
Spiderman no weapons except what he got from spider bite
I actually like wolverine and jean grey. Undestructible skeleton with ability to heal, and the only class 5 mutant in existance with the ability to make people disentigrate with her mind.
Now if we are talking cosmic heros than superman is #1 by far.

Alright give me a bit. I've only finished my first two acts and it's not formalized yet, just a rough outline with lots of dialogue and brief descriptions of the action (both awesome and regular scene).
I'm only going to send you the first two-three pages to protect myself and what I've worked on, but I feel that if you try to visualize what I have going on, you'll get a really good idea of the style and tone I'm going for - serious - but not dark and serious.

In another comic Batman and Superman team up to battle Xenomorphs.
Batman can't really beat Superman, as Superman can never die by our Standards. (see the Death of Superman and the Rise of the Supermen saga)
Look at this picture, Superman shifts his face four inches to the left and Batman is in two pieces.

Well of course, but no one really beats anyone in canon since so few heroes/villains die. The best we have are the match-ups, canon or not.
I was just reacting to saying that Iron Man stomps Batman. That's just not true given the amount of foes Batman has beaten over the years.

Can be done for any situation in any event. Comic book. Real life. Whatever. That proves nothing.
Iron Man doesn't come close to stomping Batman, and probably loses.

Iron Man has nukes and Jericho missiles and shite. He'd blow Batman up from hundreds of miles away while banging Pepper Potts barefooted in Stark Tower.
