This episode showed me that not only can an old dog learn new tricks, but 24 was able to go to that place it rarely goes.
My only complaint was no silent clock for President Heller.
Another thing I like (probably due in large part of the 12 episodes) Characters are smarter than they have ever been in the show. For example ole Jordan there would bumble around for 3 to 4 hours before he realized Navarro gave the kill order.

So smart that he holds an assassin at gunpoint from 2 feet away, thus defeating the distance advantage a gun gives you.

I agree with everyone saying this season has been great. The 12 hours really allowed them to cut the crap.

I thought the turning it to the side to try to quickly gaze whether or not the safety was on was a nice touch.
But I was seriously down with it a little because it was driving home that this dude was definitely not a field agent.

Silly 24, Glocks don't have "safeties".

Chloe hacked into the drone's camera and played a loop of Heller standing in Wembly stadium.
There is only a 1% chance of that happening but the "next week's previews" did give you just enough to hold onto that 1%.

In all fairness they did make it obvious Jordan was not a field agent.
Dude was excited as hell just to pick up a dead drop.

Not even 24 would let Heller survive. It's at least based on some shred of reality. The only reason people are wondering is because he didn't get the silent clock.
No silent clock means he's still alive, right?
Right?

Whelp. If that's the case I'll be disappointed. Never thought 24 would hold punches. If they do here they better have something more for shock value in store. Bc this was looking to be a good one.

Doesn't explain the fact they saw the missile detonate on their feed. If it was on a loop they wouldn't have seen it detonate. (Unless Chloe took the loop out at exactly the right time and they didn't notice Heller wasn't there at the last moment)

Yeah. I'm leaning towards Heller being dead bc it'd be satisfying for the character and serve as a good impetus for Jack to strike back at the enemy. Hope we get another raid like in Season 5 on the gas plant.

This.
It's 24. They don't mind doing some reality calisthenetics to keep the story rolling.

why did the missile that struck the hospital seem to be 20 times bigger than any other missile from the drone? The one hitting the hospital seem to blow it to hell, and the one at the stadium seemed to just blow a hole in the middle of the grass.
Just seemed a little odd to me, but maybe I missed something.
