This was the thing that bothered me the most so far. The US wasn’t letting in anyone with diseases, nor should we have. There’s also no way that last inspector would have ok’d her after her attitude either.

I think whatever happens she fights it off. I was reading an interview with the Actress that plays Alex from the TV Insider and was specially asked about that cliffhanger:
She will pull off her bra and whip him into submission like Spencer. TS likes his boss bitches

sheridan simply can not write women characters
they are either one or several of these:
a damsel in distress for our hero to save
a victim that becomes a girl boss
total sexpot eye candy
or raging bitch
the only Sheridan women characters consistently worth a damn were Faith Hill in 1883, the Lady Vet in yellowstone and Cara in 1923
sheridan needs the story boundaries of a fixed schedule, like a movie (sicario) or a limited series (1883)
give him an open ended project and his inner 13 year old boy kicks in and everything goes off the deep end
frankly it is pretty obvious that BBT did his own writing in landman. his character is way too good for the writing to come only from sheridan

the character's name is Teonna Rainwater

I get it but Rainwater is like Johnson to us. Very common indian name.

Kind of a mouthy bitch, if you ask me.

And all she had to do was give the inspector a bit more backstory into her husband.
Instead Alex just says screw it, and tells him to deny her if he wants.

quote:It's crazy when you see the size of the areas inside compared to the numbers that went through. I think my church had more pews than the great hall. The rooms where they had beds (and the number of them) made train bedrooms look spacious. Regardless, standing there looking one way at the SOL and the other way at 1WTC is something everyone with family who came through there should do once in their life.
Conditions could be rough. Arrivals were packed into crowded holding areas, sometimes waiting hours or days for processing. The “Great Hall” was noisy

Any chance Alex runs into the prostitute trying to recruit a new girl at some point and they try to recruit her by offering transport to Bozeman.
Wasn’t Alex warned not to trust anyone being too nice, and they said the prostitute has to go to the city to find a new girl.

The would be a dick-move by TS. Alex has gone through enough shite to end up dealing with Whitefield. That being said, this is something TS would do.

I doubt she (he hooker) is going to Minneapolis or Chicago to find another chippy to be Whitfield's S&M slave. She'd go to Butte if there isn't another in Bozeman.
But with Sheridan anything is possible I guess.
Only four more episodes and Spencer is still in Texas and his cooz just got on the train out of NYC with zero money. Frankly this episode seemed like a lot of filler.
Credit for the CGI guys doing the trains. The cars were pretty legit for the era except box cars did not have small windows with bars over them. That's something out of a Holocaust movie.
*Some of the lettering in at least one of the shots wasn't used until the 50s, but at least the car types look close.

They made a comment the train would get her to Billings and she would have to figure it out from there because of snow drifts or something.

Just finished it. Not a bad episode. Not great either.

Spoiler:
Why did Spencer jump off the train rather than throw the dead hobos off the train and ride it out?
Should’ve dumped the bodies and figured out his next move at the next train station.

That’s what I thought he was going to do. I thought he was pretty handy in that set-to. He is a capable mofo.

Nice to see the origination of the train station.

This is just beyond over the top at this point. I mean how much hell on earth and bad luck can two ppl go through just traveling to Montana in 1923 and they still won’t make it for another 3 episodes!
