re: Zion after 15 years of playing in NOLA (NSIAP)

Maybe pay attention.
Griffin had the luxury of having lebron recruit superstars to Cleveland and already had Kyrie there. This is a completely different situation than Cleveland. Still, let’s assume he does ok. Would you take an unhappy AD and Zion over those players and picks I mentioned?

Yes. Good lord.
Also: This is NOT THE SAME MANAGEMENT THAT BUNGLED AD.
Its not really even the same ownership.
Griffin has a blank check to change the FO and has already done a great job. He just added, literally, the best head of medical/training in the entire NBA, an absolute legend.
You take the superstar. ALWAYS. Because you have 7-9 years to get it right with him.

Nah. The OP is *so* far off.
This is Zion chilling with his agent, on the proceeds of his shoe contract, after two years in New Orleans.

The problem is NO has a reputation and it won’t change until people see results. AD already has one foot out the door, so I guess Griffin’s first test is seeing what he can get for AD. If Zion says he’s fine with NO, then I’d obviously take him. If not, I’m taking Tatum/smart and picks and seeing if I can get Simmons and someone else from philly for Zion. Ben Simmons went to LSU, so he has history there and I think Tatum will develop into a star.

So your solution is for them to not try.
They took the first step by hiring a competent, well respected guy and gave him a blank check.

He doesn't have a say in the matter. So there's that.

Never said this. Just stated the obvious fact that their reputation won’t change until they show results

He does. He could tell them he won’t play for them. If they listen to him, they could get a nice package from another team. If they call his bluff, he can go back to duke, go overseas, or play for the national team under gregg popovich. In which case, Ja Morant isn’t a bad consolation prize.

It would be dumb to rent Zion if he didn’t want to play there when he could net them so much value.
Also, if he turns out to be elite, he'll have even more value 3-4 years down the road than he does now.

Yeah, these clowns trying to push this narrative are pathetic

Zion only has one option: pull his name out the draft and either go back to college or sit a year. He is not going to do that. Nike is about to give him an enormous shoe deal. He would be one year closer to his 2nd contract. No one is doing this.
He can't say I'm staying the draft but I don't want NOLA to pick me, because NOLA can pick him and just hold onto his rights...forever.

Once Loria and Sterling were removed from their respective teams, it can easily be argued the Knicks have the worst management team of the big 3 sports.

One of my favorite comments on Pels talk:
Media: New Orleans will ruin Zion!
Also Media: How can we get Zion to play for James Dolan?

#1 recruit in the country and you didn’t even make the tournament. Eye popping stats but wasn’t a leader even in the slightest and was going through the motions most of his time here.

Anthony Edwards is getting hyped up a lot as well. I still don’t think UGA will have enough to do much. Would be nice to make the tourney though.
