so a line basically only plays about a minute and half a shift?
Very long shift. You want about 40 seconds. After that, change when you can. AKA, the puck is in the offensive zone or transitioning to it. Because the puck can come right back to the defensive zone and then you get stuck on the ice however long until you can clear the zone or the next non-icing whistle.
I'll compare it to football. It's not exactly the same, but say you are at 50% tired. Then you get stuck on the field on defense while the other team runs HUNH from their own 35 dinking and dunking and you can't get off the field.

Back when I was a noob I kept wondering why teams would dump the puck deep and not carry into the zone.
Well, it was because it was at the end of a shift.

This game has slowed down considerably. Seattle looking strong

Or they were being coached by Rick Bowness

Those 2 goals were both blocker, shot from the far side.
I don't like to criticize goalies, because I've tried playing it a few times, I suck and I hate it. That was really bad though.

Big power play incoming for STARS

Gourd's right, that was a flop.

Perfect time for a TV timeout, we need a goal on this power play

Jesus I understand that basically a bunch of good deflections on these but you have to think the goalie confidence is shot right now.
Deflections are on the D and the C, unless the wingers are doing a shitty job of covering their respective points. These aren't PP goals.
PK Seattle almost got caught in basically a 1-3 instead of staying in a square there. A 1-3 isn't a hockey defense, it just looked like that lol. Out of position. Blanketing the puck.

Ugly power play. At least Seattle is doing nothing on our side, we just got to get something going

You want it to be the end of the shift. Get off too early rather than too late is the idea. Unless it's the end of the game and you need a hero goal.
The harder is to get it out of the defensive zone without icing the puck... the defensive team (all 5 players) has to stay on the ice in the result of an ice unless the team takes their one timeout. Basically, you have to hit a chip shot over their defense and get it past the red line and stop short of their goal line.
You won't, I'm not. Watch game 6 of Bolts/Leafs, perfect example. Both Leafs goals in game 6 against the Bolts were the result of not getting the puck out of the D zone. I stood up and yelled at the TV both times. Two lazy half-arse dumps that didn't get the puck out of the zone. All 5 Bolts were dead tired and then goal both times.
They didn't try the chip shot like I said, but you gotaa get that out of your zone in that situation. Wasn't the first goal in the 2nd period and then the game winner in OT? So long change in both as I was earlier talking about. Hint to the new hockey fans: that's why the O and D swtich ends of their own bench depending on the period. You always want the D with the closer switch.

Rangers and Bruins make me sick.

Loved the guy for the Bolts. He always sounds goofy when he talks.
Kind of sucks seeing all these guys my dude Yzerman drafted and dealt for (both the Bolts and Wings) zooming around making plays in this playoffs. He knows what he is doing though. I still don't understand Tyley Bertuzii to Boston. Is everyone rivals with Boston? It seems like everyone hates them. Rightfully so.

Where's the Instagram model that sits behind the Stars bench?

Not looking good for stars

I don't want to hear any Stars fans bitching about the officials. That should have been a double minor on Marchment. That cross check was an absolute cheap shot and he got nothing for it.

My gosh the names above the players are annoying. It's already packed enough with 9 players and a ref (including the goalie).

Is the feed fricked up for anyone else? All the other channels are fine.
