quote:someone for Vegas literally took the puck from behind his net and put it in front of the net and left it there for the last Stars goal. What are they doing?
Vegas looks like shite
Everybody sitting on their dicks in front of the net

I'm not sure I have ever seen a team pass up high percentage shots to make medium percentage passes and pass up medium percentage shots to make low percentage passes like Vegas.
Assuming Dallas wins this game it sets up an interesting dynamic for game six. The team that is leading the series 3-2 will be the more desperate team playing. Even if they have home ice Vegas wants nothing to do with a game seven after leading 3-0 in the series. It is going to feel more like a must win game for them than it will for the Stars.

This is where not having a superstar (Eichel meh) hurts Vegas. You need your star to step up with a goal when things get tough.

Just a thought, I don't think Cassidy will do it but if you could Quantom Leap inside of him would you put Quick in for game six?

No. This is the first off game he's played in quite awhile.

Quick isn't going to stop the offense from over passing. As others have stated, that's become the issue. Oettinger is playing good enough on his own. Why help him out?
It's starting to be sphincter tightening time.

Current William Hill odds have Dallas at -130 to win Game 6 and +260 to win the series.
I know that a cardinal betting rule is to avoid games where you have a rooting interest but I may have to add to my original series bet. There's already quite a bit of action going on the Stars here.

How much will you win if the Stars take the series?

Currently $225. Definitely adding to that tomorrow.

Mind-boggling stat from the NHL..
The Fla Panthers were in a playoff spot for only 28% of the regular season (54 of 190 days).
They are the only team in the NHL’s expansion era (since 1967-68) to reach the Final after spending less than 30% of the season in a playoff spot.

The Panthers story is some 30 for 30 shite:
Best story in sports right now.

Panthers story is good
But the 2012 Kings run was better and more dominant/surprising
Panthers didn’t exactly come from nowhere they won Presidents trophy last year. they couldn’t put it together most of year and figured it out at right time as rest of the borderline teams in the East imploded.
They are more like the Avs of last year, a recently very good team that figured it out after playoff failures, than the Kings
Just so happens to be they were the last qualifier this year and beat a historic Boston team
But go Panthers - Tkachuk turned from a Marchand wanna be to a top 5 player

Update: I decided that my original bet needed a booster shot. $585 I'm hoping that I don't get to cash.
