I love the fact that 2 other media types have confirmed he said those words...which the Astros also confirmed in their statement.
They seem to be pushing that because he yelled it towards 3 women, one of whom was wearing a domestic abuse support bracelet, that Taubman's comments were intended as some kind of veiled threat toward women?
If he had done the exact same thing and said "Thank God we fricking got Brad Peacock", is this a story? Nope. They got triggered because it was Osuna, a player they don't like.
It reeks of a SJW reporter who wants to push a story that sells right now and "start a conversation" about the greater problem that's pervasive in MLB.

The Astros’ official statement makes sense to me. I can envision a scenario in which that exact chain of events occurs, the female reporters don’t hear the initial question, and they take it as an attack on women. It would be really weird and dumb for the Astros to lie. That being said, Taubman should respond to questions in a more appropriate manner.
ETA: Aroldis Chapman choked a woman and fired 8 bullets into a wall in her presence (which is mentioned in the SI article), so I don’t appreciate people singling out Houston as some uniquely evil organization that places winning above all else. The SI writer all but acquitted Hal Steinbrenner for acquiring Chapman because he said sorry, and yet he remains on the team.
