Each statistical number next to the ranked team reflects the true strength of a team's schedule, specifically the number of top 25 teams they face. On average, an SEC team competes against 5.6 top 25 opponents, while teams from other conferences face only 1.9. This disparity in competition is often overlooked, and it may even be used to downplay the challenges SEC teams face in achieving success.
Keep in mind the team with the easiest schedule has the best stats and the least amount of injured players which translates a perfect for post season play!
If I were a betting guy OU is the toughest team in 2025!

OH St. - 4
Mia - 3
UGA - 6         (SEC)
ORE - 3
*TX - 5
TX A&M - 5   (SEC)
OU - 8           (SEC)
Miss - 3         (SEC)
AL - 7        (SEC)
TTU - 2
IU - 3
*Van - 7         (SEC)
* ND - 3
Tulane - 1 loss to their only ranked team and 1 loss to an unranked team
JMU - 0 loss to a non ranked team

OU sucks. We lost to them on the road by 4 points, with no offense, and no head coach. Bama bout to wax them

It's completely ridiculous that Vandy didn't get a playoff spot.

There is absolutely no incentive to play a hard schedule.

Oklahoma literally beat Alabama two weeks ago and Alabama just got smoked again yesterday. But maybe

OU goes as Mateer goes. Mateer hasn’t healed and played hurt all season. I’m not sure if the week off will be enough but he was so stupid for rushing back to play Texas instead of getting right.

They have a decent offense and a top 5, maybe top 3, defense. They are a good team.

While that is true, Alabama struggled with LSU at home, struggled with Auburn, and could not overcome Georgia. They are trending down instead of up. Though it is hard to beat the same team twice in a season, this Bama team (which has no running game) is very beatable.

this isn't just the typical 'bama hate' being spewed here, but what on earth have you seen from bama that shows they're gonna wax anyone? if anything, they may struggle to score up in Norman. might be a 9-6 type game.

You can’t judge how may ranked teams they’ve played until after the season

OU didn’t have the toughest schedule. Before the season, Tenn, Auburn, LSU, Mizzou were all ranked and none are now.

Their best wins are at Tenn, at Bama; Mizzou and Michigan. Those 4 combined for 14 losses.

They finished with the 8th toughest SOS……in the SEC

Good info. Would be interesting to see vs Top 10 instead of Top 25.

The incentive is, dine on cupcakes all season, watch on TV like the Leprechauns.

The Bama bias gave me 2011 flashbacks, the only sugar on the shite sandwich of them making it was getting to watch the national media temper tantrums over ND being shunned. The tears from the Black Bear LandShark Rebels were getting old, now there’s a fresh set to enjoy.
