I don’t even think I would trade Ingram and a second for Bell

Given the Saints makeup and having Kamra, it would actually make no sense to pay Bell $14mil/year so in that context, I wouldn't even take him if he were just given to us(that's obviously assuming we have to keep him and can't just turn around and trade him)

Well, as you pointed out, he hasn't been aided by Ingram this year and these are his ranks among RBs in the NFL after week 5:

Total Yards Per Game - 1st
Total TDs Per Game - T-1st

Kamara is younger and makes 850k/year. Bell is a better overall players, but not 18x better.

Is he though?

And as I said, if he continues and we get two solid years, then I'll change my opinion. There has been plenty of flash in the pan backs; I don't think Kamara is one of them if he can stay healthy, but we know what Bell is and to definitively say we know what Kamara is is wrong, imo.

Again, I think Kamara is legit, but to say it's a forgone conclusion is shortsighted in my opinion. Now read the first sentence and lose your mind because you're a saints fan.

Ok, I love Kamara and wouldn't ever trade him for Bell...

...but if someone offered me a super young and promising QB like Carson Wentz or Garrapolo pre-injury to sit behind Drew a couple years, I'm not thinking twice.

he's going to get a huge payday if he stays healthy

I would have traded him for Khalil Mack, but not cheerfully. I really like Kamara.

I wouldn't trade him for any offensive player in the league. Throwing salary out of the equation I'd probably just take Miller, Mack, and Donald in a straight up trade.

lol. There's plenty of QBs that have better straight up value than Kamara. And that's not a knock on him, that's just how it is for RBs.

Thought it was obvious the discussion was in context of the Saints and the Saints don't need a QB.

if JJ Watt is back to being Watt I'd consider him, too. That's about it.

I'd trade him right now for Patty Mahomes and figure it out going forward.

Ok maybe Mahomes, but no other offensive player.

Coco said Watt, all the season ending injuries keep him just on the No side for me.

Kamara is is no way shape or form the better player. He is the younger and cheaper player so the answer to your question is no.

If they were on the same contract, say a 2 year $20 million contract, you take Bell.

And Wentz and Goff. If you can get a QB on a rookie contract you're in such a better spot than most other teams.

In his only season he played he had more TDs on almost half as many touches, averaged 2 yards per carry more and 2 yards per reception more.
