Ummm, no. If you can comprehend(which you apparently can’t), instead of teams like Nicholls St & Grambling you could watch quality baseball from teams like Charleston & Coastal Carolina.

You could also choose not to watch. Novel concept, I know.

so are you removing the AQs and giving them their own tournament?

or are you putting teams like Charleston and Coastal in the NIT type tourney?

My choice, remove AQ.

ETA: But we know that’s not gonna happen.

Why? So you can fill the actual tournament with more teams you've heard of?

Your question makes no sense??. I want the best 64 teams, not Grambling.

no he's saying teams like Ole Miss would get into the field of 64 over Automatic Qualifiers that have less than zero shot of winning more than maybe one game.

so no guaranteed bids, just have the committee select best 64?

Absolutely. Use RPI, or some other metric to guide them. But no AQ.

Then Tennessee couldn’t win the national championship

With that logic, the 2008 National Champion Fresno State Bulldogs would have never had their chance to get hot and go on a magical run to win it all.

Oh well, 1 example out of how many years?

OK. Let’s go all the way back to last year (2023).

Oral Roberts, #76 RPI that won their conference tournament, was a #4 seed in a Regional that would have not qualified with your “logic”.

They won their Regional. Won a Super Regional. And won their first game in Omaha.

Still fine with them being left out. A much more deserving team was left out because of them. Sentimentality is no reason to slight way more deserving teams.

Irony is ironic!

Is that sentence supposed to be two questions and one statement at the same time?

Not sure why you putting Nicholls with Grambling. Nicholls is a 3 seed where as Tulane is a 4 seed. So you don't think Tulane should be in a regional.

Didn’t Coastal host a regional last year and failed to advance?
