A's are pathetic now, but dont forget they were dominant in the 70s and had a good run in the 80-early 90s with the Bash Brothers and were still fun to watch with Zito/Mulder/Hudson after that. Its actually a very storied franchise. They just need new ownership.

As a Pirates fan, I strongly disagree with this assessment. I was 15 when the Pirates lost in the NLCS in 1992.
I was 35 with two kids before they posted another winning season. They haven't posted a playoff series win in 46 years.
The A's seem like a dream to root for in comparison.
