Homer Bailey. He is the epitome of what is rong with the Wreds. A .500 pitcher with a career ERA north of 4.00 who is a #4 or #5 pitcher, but we pay him number 1 money while letting Cueto and Leake walk. I know Cueto had injury history, but Mr. Bailey pretty much missed two full seasons. I know Leake isn't a number one rotation guy either, but we could've got him cheaper, and he never gets hurt. He always dependable. I deplored this deal in 2013, and I deplore it now. It's crap deals like this as to why my Reds are 8-27, and this "rebuild" is going nowhere and will have to be rebuilt itself. Pitiful for a once proud franchise. Just pitiful leadership.

Heyward getting that kind of money for doing absolutely nothing is mind boggling

I guess Gold Gloves don't mean anything these days.

Not sure how I forgot it but the fact he’s pitching today reminded me: Wei Yin Chen 5/80 with a vesting option

Gold gloves haven’t meant anything since Rafael Palmiero won one back in the day when he only played like 30 games in the field.

Heyward was a great defender. His defensive value on fangraphs has declined every year since 2014. He had no business winning a gold glove last season. He actually has a negative defensive value so far (small sample size) this season.

The Dexter Fowler deal is going to look really bad after this season.

This is a terrible list LMAO

ETA: unless you are saying these are some of the good ones. I can't tell.

I know I'm a couple seasons outside of the 5-season window but I just wanted to point out that Carl Crawford got paid $22 million last year by the Dodgers.
