High school games are usually full of bad officials.

in high school we use to play agianst ED White and they would get the softest refs and they would call a foul if you touch a player
but the worst call i ever got was when we where playing john curtis i basketball and i pushed a kid and got kicked out of the game

I'm from OS and heard about this game. The broadcaster is a friend of mine and if those are his quotes, it makes me laugh because it all sounds exactly like something he would say.

Let's just say you better be prepared when you play at Central Lafourche or South Lafourche.

Worst I've ever seen was a 1991 (I think) 4A playoff game between Hahnville and Bogalusa. The refs needed a police escort off of the field at the end.

I had a friend who fouled out of a game after clapping for the ball. Ref said he "heard skin." My friend wasnt within 10 ft of anyone and our team had the ball haha.

The worst thing I ever saw was when LaGrange played West Monroe in Lake Charles during the playoffs. I don't remember the year exactly, 1996 I think though.

Anyway, we were up 10-7 on WM in the 4th with WM driving the ball. Pitch goes to the running back and he mishandles it as our player tackles him. LG recovers the ball, but they call defensive holding on the LG guy for tackling the running back when he didn't have the ball.

WM gets the ball back and goes on to win 14-10 in Lake Charles. This was when Catholic (BR) was ranked #1 all year. WM goes on to beat them the next week and beats Carencro in the Dome.

This was also a game where Shows had a heart attack and missed the game. During the week leading up to it, he was quoted in a Monroe paper about being back next week when they play Catholic. Turns out he was right, but never did care for the guy because of that.

I was on that WM team. Didn't we win on a pick 6? If not a pick got us down close to the goal line.

Worst call I have seen in a high school game was either my junior year in High School. I went to Franklinton and we were playing Tylertown Ms. They were up 6 with time running out and we score a TD with seconds left on the clock and line up to kick the extra point to win the game. Kicker nails it right down the middle. The official waives off the kick and rules the ball too high. Ended up a tied game. Never heard of such bull shite in my life.

don't really know of any. never really watched a high school game and came out thinking how horrible the officiating was.

altho in the state championship of oak grove vs south panola (2004 maybe?) i did notice that SP was holding nearly the entire game and getting away with it.

We used to get hosed in Monroe all of the time. That was the worst ones for me.

No, a pick ended the game but I really have no idea what play this guy is talking about.

I don't either and I can remember what I wore the first day of kindergarten. The 3 things that stand out about that day: The speech from Coach Shows that he recorded and they played before we got on the bus. The locker room was the coldest I've ever slept in. The interception at the end of the game.

Both locker rooms there were always cold as shite, that's just how they had it for some reason. I'm trying to remember exactly when it was, but not sure the time left on the clock.

The call was on our safety, #10 Mike Hathaway. It was somewhere around the 10-30 yard line with WM going in.

ETA: And it was to the left from the press box side, so it would have been going to the right from the WM sideline. Towards the back endzone with the scoreboard.

Not saying I don't believe you but the last drive WM had in that game was going right to left from the WM sideline and I'm pretty sure the fullback got the ball every play on that drive. Then came the int to deal it. Maybe it happened earlier in the game.

If you play against Covington or St. Paul at their place and they have Nola officials, you better bring a truckload of Vaseline. Some of the worst I've ever seen and it's been going on for years

When I played for St. Paul's (right before and as we were getting good), it was the opposite. Never had any calls go our way.

My senior year, we defeated John Ehret 21-0, but we had 16 holding penalties, which negated 3 TDs and several other big plays. Ehret had 2 total penalties, when they were constantly hitting after the whistle, grabbing defensive linemens' jerseys, etc.

But I've heard that recently, St. Paul's has had the help of officials in several games. Would have been nice when I was there.

If you're referring to inner-city schools, then absolutely. These kids get to benefit for not knowing blocking techniques and holding on every play.

Yeah is was Kulo. He is a lot better calling games than he was ever playing them. (LOL)

A relative of mine was at the parkview babtist playoff game they lost this year and was talking to the people next to them who werent with either them but either just at the game, or scounting for someone. (I cant remember) Anyway the guy was an offical or coach or something and during the conversation the guy just says to her as she talks about winning the game and whi they might play, the guys says "Maam you are a nice lady and Kenny Guillot is a hell of a coach and you guys have the better team, but with this officaiting crew there isnt a chance in hell of you guys winning this game. Of course they lost on a bunch of BS calls. I think all of Guillots playoff loses have been away from home, even back in Tara days,

Makes you think man.
