The fight still went to the ground at one point LINK

Holm has 6 years worth of top notch MMA training which is how she was able to end up on top and get back up

Even if ROusey was able to block Rice's punches, her body wouldn't be able to withstand the strength of the blow.

What makes you think Rice would be able to get a decent punch off?

Ray Rice in an octagon with a trained pro is a fish out of water. 99% chance if you put any non trained fighter who's not a giant in an octagon with Ronda Rousey they would throw an ugly punch then get tossed and armbarred in less than 10 seconds

There are a lot of variables but if Mayweather were to try and fight her with no MMA training she would have a decent chance of beating him.

For fricks sake, are you kidding?

Rousey would be physically unable to armbar ray rice. Besides the extreme size difference, there is also an even bigger strength difference. No amount of technique is going to overcome that

0% chance rousey could get or even hold rice in an arm bar. It be like your daughter trying to hold you in an arm bar. Even if she had 10 years of training

Ray Rice would break out of any armbar attempt just like old school Rampage Jackson. Video Proof Technique Isn't Everything

That was tough to watch. It's a man beating the shite out of a woman. The power difference was huge

Man people are giving Rousey a ton of credit. The strength agility quickness difference are WAY WAY in Rice's corner. We are not talking about some meat head at the gym. We are talking about an extremely strong/fast/agile/quick man. Plus she would not have the strength to put him into some kind of submission hold even if he was totally exposed.

So you are saying that Rousey would be able to capitalize on a mistake made by a larger male. What if the male does not make the mistake she requires, but methodically closes to make it a contest of physical strength?

go back and finish watching your lifetime movie, then go take a nice relaxing bubble bath with a glass of wine and make sure to clean your vagina real good.

go watch the video of Rampage picking the idiot up while in an armbar. Any 200lb male with zero mma training but works out and has strength would do this to her, if she was even strong enough to wrap her tiny hands around a large mans wrist, which i doubt she could do.

Rice's strength #s (squat/bench/etc) are prob off the charts

Yup. It's honestly crazy to think that Rousey would have a chance at all. The only option would be how fast she would get seriously injured.

Rice's NFL Combine Analysis -

quote:

Short, but extremely thick with a muscular frame, especially in his lower body. ... Good initial quickness. ... Attacks the hole, but shows the lateral agility and vision to pick and slide, as well. ... Explosive through the hole and can make defenders miss. ... Much more powerful than his height makes seem possible. ... Uses his natural low center of gravity and impressive lower body strength to generate significant yardage after initial contact. ... Secure hands out of the backfield. ... Physical blocker who isn't afraid to face up the pass rusher.

This is analyzing Rice when he was being compared to other elite male athletes that were projected to go to the NFL as well. He would probably be the best if not one of the best overall athletes to ever walk into the octagon on the male side and would certainly be the pound for pound strongest but some idiots in this thread think a Rousey "has a good chance" against him

He should just pretend he has a football and run right over her when the bell rings.

and this has what to do with knowing how to fight?

Seriously how stupid are you? 200lbs untrained males can do what Rampage did after several years of MMA training and lifetime of wrestling

The difference is not only in upper body strength, but the ability to absorb a punch. It is clear that women do not have the same fighting acumen as men given similar training. That said, a trained female can more than hold her own with a drunk crack head, so I highly encourage women to join Karate.

I think if I were just boxing Rousey I'd stand a chance being that I'm 6'2 225 and way stronger.

But if that got to the ground, I'm likely fricked because of her technique.

A freak like Rice would end her quickly.

She is literally too small, her technique wouldn't mean shite to you. Just suffocate her with your strength. You are equating her to a male fighter with her attributes.
