chris paul cannot claim he's mad at his racist owner, that he demanded he be traded to
that's an absurd argument, which requires us to assume he's either (1) stupid or (2) completely ignorant
and this is a larger argument than this situation or race, actually. i bring this up with the gay rights zealots all the time. i ask them to list all the other underprivileged groups, so that we can fight the fight for all of them. if they don't/can't, then they're ignoring those groups' rights and are just as bad as the people who have historically fought against gay rights
logic and consistency is important in these discussions, but it is oft forgotten in exchange for emotional reactions
frick emotional thinking. that applies to every aspect of life and is my personal philosophy. it's bigger than racism or donald sterling

Yes he can.
Since when does being an employer mean that your employee must embrace your continued monkeyshines carte blanche?
Never.

Because their job is to try to win an NBA championship, not evaluate the morals of the owner. That doesn't ever factor in to most personnel decisions, regardless of sport.
That doesn't mean that Rivers, Paul, et al are wrong to express displeasure with such destructive language from the owner when it occurs.

Black people need to get over it and quit acting like they never had an old white person act racist. The only difference is this one has money and doesn't drive an old.caddilac.
Two days of outrage is enough. You want to piss Sterling off? Go to the games.

Can we please get Chris Paul a black coach already?

Yeah buy tickets from him, that'll show him

That's assuming he knew "all the history." Everyone is acting like it was common knowledge. This is the most widely reported a lot of that has been.

Well Doc Rivers has already said he won't be coaching there past the end of the season and I assume that most people who woke up and saw their boss making disparaging remarks about their race, sexual orientation, religion, ect would immediately begin seeking other options

Bull Shite.
They tried to Remove Sterling in 2009
Its no secret. Paul + Rivers knew what Sterlings views were.

When those Atlanta talk radio guys got fired for the Gleason jokes the whole saints board thought I was defending the jokes as funny and hated Gleason.
its amazing if you don't promote censorship or want people hung for not expressing your views that you are the bad guy

There is less than a 0% chance Rivers and Paul didn't know. Let's be serious, here.

I wouldn't. Obviously their boss can look past his personal feelings and see the business side of the situation (otherwise he wouldn't hire a black coach, etc...). I couldn't care less about my bosses personal views on life.
