Did you ever play basketball even at the high school level?

Those girls would get smoked by a freshman AAU team.
1. Stupidity
2. Sexism
I don't believe you're stupid.

It’s not good basketball.
It’s not average basketball.
It’s BAD basketball.
quote:Don't be so easily herded by propaganda. There are bad seeds in every sport. And who doesn't want more money for their job?
And they double down by exemplifying some of the worst stereotypes imaginable. Just utterly insufferable.

I’m sure it is…and it’s still relatively unentertaining and poor quality compared to many other basketball viewing options.

Sweet deflect. Nobody’s melting except you. People are simply explaining why they don’t watch it, and you are arguing that these women have more skill because they can’t dunk.
I honestly think poor quality of play could slide into the #2 reason people don’t watch behind their insufferable personalities.

Imagine thinking that just because something is the best of something that it can’t be bad lol
Every student in a class makes an F except one who made a D. And that one student:
“I was the best!!!!!”

because they can't dunk there is a lot more skill involved in making baskets (shooting, passing, dribbling, etc.) than the NBA.
These statements have been made by the same person itt

This is a laughable argument. It’s neither stupid or sexist to compare men’s sports to women’s sports from a spectator standpoint because both are forms of entertainment.
Some sports women can compete in a compelling way such as figure skating or gymnastics and can be enjoyed on or with the men’s version.
In the case of women’s basketball the fluidity and grace of the men’s game simply doesn’t exist making it awkward and child like due to various issues generally stemming from a lack of relative strength and fast twitch explosion.

Point granted. Doesn’t make it anything an objective fan would find compelling but it’s a free country and you’re welcome to spend your time as you see fit.

Herded by propaganda! What on earth are you talking about?
Thanks to ESPN and other outlets attempting to force this on their viewer base I’ve had to listen to many of the “stars” of this sport expose themselves in their own words as self absorbed, entitled, politically obnoxious and in some cases openly racist twats for the past 5 years.
It’s bad enough when certain NBA stars say obnoxious things, but you can’t watch the men’s Olympics recently and not respect LeBron or Steph Curry for what they do on the court at least.
The same can’t be said of the average WNBA player.
The only propaganda is trying to force the average viewer to watch something that’s far uglier as a spectator sport than a high level men’s rec game at an SEC school.
It’s a bad product that features obnoxious players.

Then people would support the league?
No, I'm pretty sure the posters in this (and all WNBA threads on this board) have made it perfectly clear why they don't support the league.
Terrible basketball, misplaced sense of entitlement, and ratchet behavior.

Yes. Everyoke keeps telling you why and you keep ignoring it because you want it to be racist and sexist, which doesn’t add up at all lol

Do you listen to music?
Do you watch movies?
If so do you endorse or like everything about the performer?
You can respect someone’s talent without liking them or endorsing their life choices.

And he completely ignores the facts that 100% blow up his racist/sexist argument. But of course he continues to run when asked about it lol
Must be on Reddit discussing how to counter it lol

It's pretty simple and I don't get how you don't get it. The product is arse. It's a very very ugly style of basketball. I don't watch it for the same reason I wouldn't watch High School basketball if it was on TV, because it's ugly basketball.
Just out of curiosity, how much NBA do you watch outside of your team? Same question for others who posted in here.
For me it’s not even really about the quality. Outside of the Pelicans, I watch very little basketball unless Im betting on the game. Used to love college basketball, would watch every Kansas and LSU game and last year I didn’t watch a single college game until March Madness.

Last year was the least I've ever watched because the Pels and the rigged draft soured me so much. Will watch them a good bit more this year because of all the changes.
Outside of last year, traditionally I watch quite a bit, even outside of the Pels.
Virtually zero college basketball outside of the tournament.

You basically took what I said and reworded it…and it’s somehow different?

And there it is.
Sorry, when I think of the douchebaggery of the sport, it includes a girl like Kelsey Plum. When you criticize your own fans in public, you forfeit the desire to be treated equally to the NBA.
Racist? I don’t think so…I have zero issue supporting with my wallet and watching MLB, CFB, CBB, and NBA. I watch NFL, but don’t attend. Those sports are dominated by POCs, Latinos, and foreigners from all nations.
Sexist? I don’t think so…I can watch softball, Olympic sports, and even’s some LSU ladies hoops and be entertained.
Homophobic? I don’t pay close enough attention to the WNBA to care who is a lesbian and who isn’t. If you are tuned into the sexual preference of those women, I would argue it’s you that has the problem.
