06 killed me. Much hyped game and got demolished. Other than that, how many years did the saints beat the cowboys and win it all? 0

VERY just NOT as OVER-HYPED like the Cowboys are EVERY YEAR.EVERY year. ESPN and ALL the [so-called]NFL experts say the Cowboys are supertalented and FAIL. Is it all Romo?? NO. But he is a big part of it.

So you're a bandwagon fan? You stopped liking them because they started to suck?

Lack of depth and settling for past their prime o linemen. With a dash of terrible coaching.

So the argument you're presenting is that all those years the saints beat an irrelevant, overhyped team with a mediocre at beat quarterback? Congrats?

Since when are the saints a relevant historical NFL franchise? They caught lightning in a bottle and won ONE Super Bowl.

Half of those scores were when Dallas was lead by Dave campo and Quincy Carter

Saints and Bree's have had their moment and will slowly decline from here out. Both have peaked already

Dallas on the other hand will always be relevant and will more times than not be in the playoffs or fighting for the playoffs and contending for Super Bowls.

Dukkeev-that is the definition of bandwagon fan. GTFO

How important is the saints game this Sunday?

Are they playing to win their division? Is Dallas?

So the cowboys are playing for their division and a spot in the playoffs and the saints are playing for... what?

Let's go to the tape...

Since 2000 -

Saints 5 playoff appearances, 5-5 record.

Dallas: 4 playoff appearances, 1-4 record.

Whew. I guess you might as well shut down that franchise in New Orleans. They just can't compete.

And this means what in the grand scheme of things. The Saints didn't have their coach the whole year. And IF YOU don't think that makes a difference in the Saints season??? You are a total fool. AGAIN the Cowboys may be on track to win a division title, BUT they are like that EVERY YEAR. MEDIOCRE at best and WILL LOSE SUN night. Garret is a buffoon.

Ok since 96 Dallas is 138-130 and won 4 division titles

Since 96 the saints are 132-139 with 4 division titles

So yea I would say Dallas has been more relevant historically than the saints ever have even though the saints have had more success recently

And we will see if Dallas wins or not but my point is they are still in contention and have things left to play for while the saints are home sipping eggnog.

Surprise! This became a Saints/Cowboys thread!!

Anyway, I agree with the comment that he's better than average, struggled early in his career, and has improved a great deal of late. The yardage thing isn't a big deal anymore.

I don't know if he can get this team over the hump, but I like his chances better now than in the past.
