Djoker - Hurkacz getting somewhat more interesting. Good thing Djoker managed to take both of those tie breaks last night or it would be a lot more dicey for him this morning. I’m thinking this set will likely go to another tie breaker where Djokovic will close it out — Hurkacz had chances to win both breakers last night but got tight. I think Djokovic has the mental edge if it gets to that.

Edit: Djoker with two break points right now actually. This is pretty much match points.

Plus having chances to serve out both tiebreaks with a mini-break advantage.

And that's likely all it will take for Djokovic.

I'd love to see the % of points won by each player by rally length. Have to think that anything longer than 5 shots is like 90% Djokovic.

Yeah can't imagine Novak will choke this.

In other news, Eubanks is about to save Shitpants from another loss to his daddy Medvedev.

That was a serious choke job at deuce on that forehand. A couple points earlier he brain farted on an overhead from mid court. Might still be able to close it out though.

Pretty wild turnaround for Berrettini considering how bad he looked leading up to Wimbledon.

Broke Alcaraz to go up 5*-3 in Set 1. Just turned it on, but Alcaraz is missing his drop shot early. Going to be a long day for him if he can't wear out the big man.

His return game is surprising me. He’s blocking bombs back and getting enough in play to have a chance. And obviously serving huge as always. Kyrgios said he’s the only guy who could beat Novak and I agree.

Alcaraz plays these powerful cross court forehand shots out of nowhere that just look different than anyone else on tour right now

Two very good matches going on at the same time. Though I think Berrettini is out of gas.

Rune up 2-1 after taken Sets 2 and 3 in tiebreakers.

Rune vs Alcaraz is a budding rivalry that I hope we see for years to come.

Never thought I'd make this comparison, but Eubanks was hitting those against Tsitsipas too. Eubanks is all skin and bones, but he was using his length and smashing FHs.

I know but after the last few days with rain they’ve been catching some heat not starting play earlier on the two courts to get the matches in.

I think I agree with that, but at the same time I've enjoyed having Wimbledon tennis lasting into the evening.

Closing the roof for Alcaraz/Berrettini. Might give Berrettini a chance to regroup.

Plenty of time to finish. Players warming now, and it's only 8:30 local time.

Looks like Wimbledon is finally down to few enough matches that they can actually play as scheduled.

They have plenty of time to get it done tonight. But, a 1:30 start is still stupid, especially when they had a fourth match to finish and it could have gone five sets. They lucked out that Rybakina's opponent quit and Jabeur steamrolled Kvitova. Yesterday, they only had three matches and still couldn't finish the last one.

Do we know why this is still a thing? Does the grass there need more time to dry?

I think it's some tradition BS. The outer courts start at 11:00.
