Federer and Tiger Woods have the personality of a walnut. They both could never win again and I'd be fine.

I think we all would have like to see Nadal and Fed play each other in their primes over a few years

N00bs like you and I have to be careful and not cross the admins. You should probably do the same. As you can see, I have many more posts than you, and I am more experienced. You should listen to my advice.

It's like that in every sport, the underdog has to be tougher mentally than the favorite to win.

personally I'm tired of seeing Federer win Wimbledon, he's won enough, I pulled for him at the French to breakthrough and he did, but I was hoping someone would knock his arse off before the finals.

i get your comment, i just don't know why you said it. so should he just win the other events more and no more wimbledon? then you'll get sick of him winning those as well. makes no sense

yeah, it's kinda like people sayin there tired of seeing Nadal dominate the French and Fedrerer in the process, until Federer broke thru this year, makes no sense at all, right?

didn't say I didn't wanna see the man win anymore GS, I'm just tired of seeing him dominate Wimbledon. geez

If Roddick can stay this competitive for a few years, he might be able to re-ignite some legit interest in tennis in the states. I would love to see that, but we need to find the heir to the American throne.

No doubt. He'll have a great chance there. I'm surprised he even took Fed to 5, let alone the fact that the 3 sets Federer won were all tiebreakers/extra play. At the US, where he's on his best surface, watch out.

Still, the fact he was so close, though, and only needed to convert one of the 4 straight set point chances he had in the second set, or just one break in both the 3rd and 5th sets and couldn't do it stings as a fan.

i guess. i just don't get tired of seeing someone dominate on a certain court. if they are the best ever its amazing to watch them do what they do. does it get boring, somewhat, but it's not going to last forever. it'd be different if it were the same guy dominating for like 10 years but his prime just won't last that long. enjoy it while you can b/c eventually he'll be too old to do it anymore
