I wonder what would have happened if he did that against Ryan.
La Tortuga would have given Nolan Ryan a wedgie

Will he be in the starting lineup today?
He's a .306 career minor league hitter with 81 K's in 2,265 ABS.
Meanwhile the starting 1B for the Baltimore Orioles this afternoon hit .168 last year and struck out 192 in 470 ABs.
.....and so far today he's 0-2 with,.....you guessed it 2 strikeouts.

Astudillo got the start Sunday at catcher and went 2/2 with 2 doubles, 2 RBI's, a HBP, and of course, NO strikeouts.
He also made a sweet defensive play backing up 1st.

reminds me of kirby puckett
Puck was my favorite growing up, but the man never saw a pitch he didn't like. Struck out something like once for every 7.3 AB.

Astudillo went 1/2 last night off the bench and is 2/2 today as the starting third baseman. He is now hitting .833 (5/6) on the young season for the Twins.
0 strikeouts.

Astudillo is starting to get some ridiculous hype.

Astudillo update
He's 7/14 on the year (.500) with 3 doubles, 1 HR, and 0 strikeouts.
Today the Twins face the Mets' Jacob deGrom, who has the NL's best K/9 rate. No word yet if Astudillo's in the lineup, but what a matchup that would be.
