Will this be an unprecedented season for CFB undefeated teams?

We could be looking at many teams being undefeated on November 1.

Clemson
Alabama
Georgia
Ohio State
Oklahoma
LSU (maybe)
Minnesota (very weak schedule)
Washington St. / Utah
UCF

One of those very top-heavy years that could have a lot of teams without a loss.

I think this is the season that could have 4 or more undefeated teams once the season ends.

Thoughts?

We do this every year. No.

Going undefeated is really really hard.
For example if you statistically have a ridiculous 90% chance to win each of your game, that's still only 25% chance of going undefeated before the playoffs. And that's just for one team.

Well Alabama, LSU, and UGA will all have to play at least one of each other.

They have pulled a rabbit out of their arse 3 weeks in a row, no way they make it to November. Needed a late 4th and 13 heave in the end zone to be completed to force OT vs. Fresno, needed to convert a 3rd and 30 last week vs. Georgia Southern

Both of these teams lose at least twice. I think Utah loses Friday

In 2017 and 2016 there were more undefeated teams after 3 weeks, and there's exactly the same amount as last year after 3 weeks

So no, I doubt it.

Yes because nobody is playing anybody the first 4 weeks.

Except maybe LSU>

This CFB season has been dead on arrival.

So boring.

No way. Last week was one of the most exciting weekends in years with several games going to the wire and into OT. Even though there were no ranked games, upsets and near upsets made for great tv.

Some one says this every year and at best half the projected teams wind up undefeated
